No. "Cutting spending" is a damned public relations lie, to obfuscate what they really are. They had their chance. Why believe them again?
Guys, I'm with you.
You realize that this proposal is coming from the redheaded step-child of the current GOP, the small-government conservatives who hold to Reagan's principles?
If this came from the entrenched leadership, I would be cynical too- but these guys deserve our support.
Oh, no question, I support those guys. But, whether my grin is sardonic or not, we and they are anachronisms.
For now...
Everything is cyclical. Whether we can hang on until the next cycle, and whether it will do any good, who knows.
