DPW is divesting all American interests because of the Congressional vote to block the port deal.

Note to Dubai: Just because our Congress excels at acting like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, doesn't mean you all have to reciprocate.

I have no idea what this means. I suspect it is delaying the take over of the US terminals as part of the P & O sale and NOT that they are throwing in the towel because other articles say they are not. (And in my opinion they shouldn't)
To: navysealdad
This proves that they were no friends of ours in the first place and congress has done the right thing (for a change)!!!

Haliburton is one of the few American companies that can run the logistics of a terminal.

I hope the anti port anti Bush Freepers are happy. The trade deal will be dead too in Dubai in a few weeks. That was years in the making and was a major part of the on going WOT. We have taken a black eye on this big time. But hey I forgot we are fighting a war on Islam not terror.

Proves the MOB mentality is alive and well in America.
They were suppose to get 45 days to have it reviewed; but Americans never lasted 5 days before they decided the only good Arab is a d _ _ _ Arab.
Sick.

This proves that they were no friends of ours in the first place and congress has done the right thing (for a change)!!! Interesting logic:
They try to make a deal, but they are not our friends.
They pull out of the deal, therefore they are not our friends.

So true. They HAD forty-five days and not even a week goes by and they do THIS? What ever happened to making sure this was bad or good?
I'd be mad too, if I were DPW.

I'll buy that for a dollar.

Seriously, so what? So, they sell their interests. And...............what. Someone else will buy them. It isn't like these incredible ports are suddenly worthless. On the contrary.
This is akin to:
