I think NOT knowing your medical history is a SMALL price to pay for SAFETY and LIFE... - Not knowing your family medical history is a very small price to pay to get the chance to live.
Tim Jaccard mentioned that dead infants are named prior to burial. There are times when folks who find the deceased are so traumatized by the event, that naming the unknown baby helps in the recovery of the finder. Amazing...
