Eller & Co. out of Miami, right?

Schumer played the GOP perfectly and they ought to be feel humiliated, particularly Duncan Hunter.

I know, the Republican that put that rider to shut this down, on a Defense Bill to provide funding for our troops should be defeated in my eyes simply because of his tactics.

Somebody run the story/history of this ports thing down for us. My guess is that Congress set the procedure" up several years back. A RAT congress probably. Law signed by Bush #1, Klink, or ? The pols were not concerned about te Chicoms running ports on the W. Coast. No problem with giving away the P. Canal, which is "managed" by Chicoms now. So get us the straight story, anybody?

Yes, and that should have been the second clue. Schumer was the first clue.

This proves that the MSM isn't as sick as we thought it was, a danger for all Americans.

Exactly. I've always maintained ever since Rathergate, that the MSM still has some pull in this country. Rathergate was just a small victory for our side in a much larger "war".

True but I will give at least Blitzer credit at least he was in Dubai for his show. Of course he was only there for two days and suppose to be there a week. BUt you know that rider happened because the congress had to vote right then. Its amazing. Also reading this blogs in the UAE you can tell they were clueless about how the MSM and politics works over here

"Yes, and that should have been the second clue. Schumer was the first clue."

It truly amazes me how many knee jerk fools fall for their antics everytime. Even (especially) on FreeRepublic. When will people learn that if the MSM is reporting it, you are probably not getting the true story?

And let me tell you something, you've never met more racist people in all your life than muslims, ESPECIALLY ARABS.

Racism has nothing to do with it.

The panic and hysteria was more along the lines of xenophobia.

"Now there are reports that Eller & Co may be in the running to buy at least some of the DP World leases here in the USA."

Interesting! Any links would be cool.

Our idiot Congress at its best. The only bright spot in this is that Democrats are even dumber than Republicans and managed to keep themselves in front of this.

Nice work. Why support the fledgling Republics in Afghanistan and Iraq if this is how we're going to treat potential business partners in the Middle East?

This was never about security; whoever still maintains it was is a liar. It was about fearmongering. Democrats have a long, sordid history of racism and discrimination and RINO Republicans fell all over themselves getting onboard with it, political whores that they are. How are we any different from our enemy if we're judging people based on their religion? If those who were against this deal just hate Arabs, I can accept that. But at least be truthful about it.

What would Reagan have done, Sean Hannity? (Sean is good friends with Charlie Rangel, by the way). He would have let this deal go through. Reagan was a pragmatist. He knew that economic prosperity was key to spreading freedom and bringing peace to the Middle East.

Fools. A pox on both your houses.

I guess it's owed to the truth in that old adage that says something like "repeat a lie often enough and people will think it's fact."

The ignorant masses ruled the day here, and we will be paying the price for years.

Could you explain to us ig'nant folks why refusing the UAE deal is going to be so horrible?

I would rather not deal with NAZI philosophy; religious or otherwise. They can keep the fascist government businesses and tacitly support the murder of Innocent people in other places, but not here. The love that 9-11 happened, they love that our soldiers have a hard time with insurgents.

They voted 62 times against the USA in the UN last year and only 5 times with the USA.

They are no friends.

True. I want Bill Clinton investigated on this. Lets say the UAE paid him for his influence and advice. He says everythings going to be ok. He tells Hillary. Hillary jumps in front of this. Now a shipping firm that is a major Dem Contributor will get the terminal leases at a bargain prices. All at the expense of our national relations. Comes close to treason if you ask me

President Bush basically said the same thing, and it's one thing I've always believed for the 35 years I've been alive.
