I don't know much about Pence. Given THIS field I am certainly willing to look at him. Tell us why you are for him.

If Frist had lost, that would have been news. But, given the Frist victory, nothing, not even that win, is of real note.
It's been a looooooooong time since the Republicans didn't have a preemptive favorite (AKA a "coronation") rather than a presidential primary and we just don't yet know how to deal with it.

Coming in second shows Romney put some work into this poll. The question, to me, is why?
If he could bring in his state's electoral votes he might be considered for VP. But he can't. So what does he want, a cabinet position?

I tend to think that the one candidate who seems to be the most electable in the eyes of most Americans is the mayor himself (Rudy). That is by no means an endorsement, just an observation. When I look at the field of possible candidates it's the only conclusion I could come to. Now what do we do. Maybe I'll run for President :)

Say no to the status quo and yet to Mike Pence 2008!....I
I like Mike a lot, just waiting to learn more about his stance on WOT.
If he displays some real toughness here, he could be my top choice.

Maybe Pence can do a Jeffords!

Nearly every time I see a photo of John McCain, I think of Charlie Chaplin.

Newt, in MHO, is the most deserving. He led the Republican Revolution in 1994. Without him, there would be NO Republican Majority. However, he is radio active. NO chance, NO way, NO how. The media made sure that he and Dan Qualye had no future in politics.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
I am as Conservative as they come and I know he has some left leanings, but I cant think of one person other than him at this time that really jumps out.
When he lead NY city through the terrorist attacks the way he did it showed the world he could lead in the worst of times.
I'm with you. This is not an endorsement, merely there is just no one who stands out for the GOP at this time.

Mike Pence is a loser...no way! Any Republican that does not stand with the President , can bleep bleep ! Bush spends money like its going out of style. You can stand with conservative principles, or with the President. But not both.
