The Futile Law in Texas seems to be a prime example of a rush to judgment that ends life. "Where there's life, there's hope."

Very true. You know, it's gotten to the point where I have a hard time trusting these hospitals when they pronounce a death sentence on a patient.

JQC's Counsel - dead. Dr. Ron Cranford - dead. The other side seemed invincible. Guess not. Pls see my posts above. That's enough for one day...even though they're the bad guys.

The other ghouls are still walking around. One of them may be in deep trouble soon. I'll keep you posted.

Death comes in threes.

This will teach me to fall asleep on the couch. The Simpsons were a rerun, and now it's almost 2:30 am...

Exactly. I was thinking of Haleigh when I read about little Daniel. This is just inexecusable. If a person dies because they cannot breathe on their own, that's one thing. To ensure their death by withholding food and water...is murder!

Baby Daniel's Fight update...

The story continues to grow and spread.

DALLAS A mother fighting to keep her baby on life support, despite a hospital's determination that her efforts would be futile, will get two more weeks to find a facility that will take the 10-month-old.

A judge had been set to decide tomorrow whether to grant a temporary injunction to stop Children's Medical Center in Dallas from removing Daniel Wayne Cullen the Second from life support. But attorneys for the boy's mother and the hospital agreed yesterday to extend a temporary restraining order for another two weeks.

Attorney Brian Potts, who represents the boy's mother, Dixie Belcher, said he plans to submit the agreement to a judge today.

From North Country Gazette...

Did you know that there's no truth-in-advertising law governing federal political candidates? Candidates have a legal right to lie to voters about almost anything they want---and usually do. That's why most of those campaign promises never see fruition.

No wonder the political action committee formed by Michael Schiavo is a federal PAC. Just like his book, "Terri: The Truth", he apparently thinks he can say whatever he wants without any consequences to pay for the distortions, misrepresentations and outright lies in his PAC pleas.

I am pinging back to our stable thread for now. The reason is apparent for any who may visit the new monthly started yesterday. Same thing happened before this long and successful thread came into being. It appears a number of people would like to see Terri's Legacy derailed.

Meanwhile, we are watching and nothing new yet to report on Baby Daniel's Fight.

Terri, the truth
Terri Schiavo, Dr. Ronald Cranfeld, Michael Schiavo

Judge Greer and lawyer Felos faded like everyday Florida sunsets from the media spotlight, only mentioned ever so briefly in a series of right-to-die based symposiums.

Dr. Humane Death is gone.

Poetic justice that through all of this the spirit of Terri Schindler-Schiavo lives on.

She alternates between calling him Cranfeld, and Cranford. His name isn't important anyway. It probably won't appear in The Book that matters.

The truth? Who needs the truth when lies work? Just ask Mikey. June Maxam of North Country Gazette expounds...

He says his mother died in June of 1997.

The truth: Clara Schiavo died in July of 1997.

He says that Suzanne, his wife's sister, is eight years younger than Terri Schindler Schiavo.

The truth: She's four and half years younger.

Look what is happening to "futile care". Is this one more excuse to institute more euthanasia? Comes from MSNBC. Hmmmm.

ATLANTA - Doctors are reporting a disturbing rise in the number of cancer patients getting chemo and other aggressive but futile treatment in the last days of their lives.

Critics of the practice say doctors should be concentrating instead on helping these patients die with dignity and in comfort, perhaps in a hospice.

After seeing the long parade of factual mistakes in Schiavo's book, I went to Amazon dot com to see what they had to say about the writer, Michael Hirsh. They called him a "Peabody-award winning documentarian." That's funny! He should have gotten the Janet Cooke-Jayson Blair award for sloppy journalistic fraud.

Hirsh is a senior editor of Newsweek with four supposedly non-fiction books to his credit. If this is all the better he can do checking facts, he should abandon any pretense of reporting and try his hand at writing soap opera for afternoon TV.

More about Amazon. The reviews -- at least the ones that Amazon was willing to display -- were strongly pro-Michael. The true believers were out! Negative reviews in turn were down near zero in being "helpful" to readers.

However, a look at prices gives the opposite impression. The book was deeply discounted -- meaning it's not selling up to expectation. Some readers were trying to dump used copies for much less than even the discounted price -- meaning it's not a book that one would treasure and keep on one's library shelves (surprise).

Piece of junk.

I did see that line :-) If she had calmly been telling the truth, why would she worry about what anyone has to say? It's people with an agenda who aren't going to like the feedback.

Fortunately, the review was so syrupy, I couldn't stand to read much of it. I have to protect my delicate stomach.

The Tampa Tribune today re: the cancer drugs reports that there are new cancer treatments and doctors do not know because they are not mind readers if the patients is "near death" or not.

So, the hospice folks would rather just get to do their thing before the cancer docs finish doing theirs.

The exiters would rather use MORPHINE instead of CANCER DRUGS. We know the morphine kills every day, every hour but if new cancer drugs hold promise, they hospice ilk should mind their own beeswax.

We saw a Dr. Phil show about child predators that made us ill. He even stopped the tape. It had to do with undercover cops, and what they have to do to bust these inhuman creeps. After stopping the surveilence tape, Dr. Phil asked the detective if it was hard not to reach across the table(he met the creep at a restaurant), and knock his teeth out.

Las Vegas police felt they couldn't wait, so they busted the man before the FBI was ready to move in. I may have trouble remembering numbers, but I'll never forget what was said between the cop and that scumball.

Montel Williams has had some pretty harsh programs on the subject, as well.

Terri newsfeed here: http://www.conservative-spirit.org/index.html

(Topix net presents both sides but the other side always omits that laws were broken at the local level before Terri's life or death reached the federal level.) The first article never addresses Terri's Civil Rights.

They are only correct in asserting that the fight was by her parents.

Remember that Terri was never represented by her own counsel which is a violation of her due process rights.

WHILE HE WAS BREAKING THE LAW, JUDGE GREER ALSO VIOLATED THE LAW THAT A JUDGE CANNOT ACT AS A PERSON'S GUARDIAN UNLESS THEY ARE RELATED TO THAT WARD. Oops, Judge Greer has violated more laws and canons than ANY OTHER JUDGE IN AMERIKA. Why isn't he impeached YESTERDAY? (caps off).

Here is the "dramatic" lead of the linked article:

>> ATLANTA - Doctors are reporting a disturbing rise in the number of cancer patients getting chemo and other aggressive but futile treatment in the last days of their lives.

The "disturbing rise" is from 10% to 12% of cancer patients. That is merely one more patient out of fifty. This is a statistical molehill, not a story. If you look from the other side, here is the story: the number of cancer patients who did not get this "futile" treatment dropped from 45 out of 50 to 44 out of 50. Pretty dramatic, eh? Furthermore, the alleged "futility" of the chemo was not known to the doctors but discovered only by looking at death records later. Pure hindsight.

The writer's opinion that this is "disturbing" in the very first paragraph announces that he is preaching, not reporting. And, of course, his sermon follows the Death Cult party line. This is -- we see every day -- the rule at Associated Press, so we cannot expect any better from them and their ilk. Still, it's a shame that none of them has the integrity to be a journalist.

While we're on the subject of journalists, one is reminded of this bit of wickedly witty doggerel from perhaps a century ago by (I believe) Humbert Wolfe; sometimes attributed to Hilaire Belloc. It doesn't seem to matter what country or what era, journalists are about as believable as lawyers and used car salesmen...

Death becomes him. He is now a true expert in what happens when one crosses the line. Only problem now is getting his opinion. I am sure the death gang is trying to channel him already. Seems the only news regarding Terri today on slow news day Sunday is the weepy eulogies about poor Dr. Death, and the MSM has plenty of them. Here is one from the Cleveland Plain Dealer salted with the more preposterous lies, shouted loud enough to make them truth.

I am surprised the resident death culture trolls haven't started their own memorial thread. Still, I must wish he repented at the last as Our Lord, not we, makes the final judgment.

I have contacted Tom Gallagher's campaign and look forward to having him on the new nationally syndicated "The Kevin Fobbs Show starting July 2nd. It is crucial that we have a governor in Florida who will not back away from protecting life. I intend to build support for strong life candidates in Florida as well as all across our nation.

We are the true majority, even if at times it does not appear so. Samuel Adams advised: "It does not take a majority to prevail...but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men."
