Surely, screening of guest workers will eliminate convicted felons. No plan can eliminiate all those who will commit crimes in the future, though that can be grounds for deportation as it has been.

"If we shipped all the illegals out of the country tomorrow, what would happen to american manufacturing and the agriculture sector? Okay, now if that can't work, what do you propose to suggest?"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>........................
Your assumption is that Illegals working here are vital to our economy. No, American citizens working here are vital.
Dislocations in some businesses that have used illegal labor will happen, and the results should be borne by them.
If it requires (heaven forbid) higher wages paid to American citizens then so be it..the impact will be less than a 5% increase in inflation well tolerable. With More Americans working the increase in payroll will quickly put the lie to the assumption that America needs cheap labor.
As for a guest worker program: An old solution was You have a sponsor here in America to bring you here> the sponsor is responsible for your welfare and work.
Those businesses that need this labor will have more expenses to start a system to provide a sponsor (sponsor could be a corp or business not just individual)
The guest worker signs up with INS at border check points/or consular sites in Mexico and Canada. is verified by them..then a computer listing of guestworkers is provided to sponsors..the sponsor then applies for those workers it needs. we could go into deeper detail but you get the idea..it is not so hard nor is it unfair. We get labor that is identified and limited and control of where they are..so when after 12 months they must leave and reapply. If not the sponsor bears legal consequences if guest workers violate their length of stay.
{PS dyslexia, m for n??

I will never vote for McCain or believe this ridiculous "report".

Well, for once, you and I can agree on something. Neither one of us will ever, EVER vote for McCain.

"Queeg will snap so publicly someday that there is no way he will be President, much less nominated."

The same goes for Mrs. Bill Clinton. An artful person can get her to act like somebody's last 3 wives rolled into one. An artful person can make McCain act like somebody's husband from hell.

I would like this to happen within about a week, so they can be compared to each other on video. These are lunatics. The wackos tell you up front what they are without the noise.

And some people want to see him elected President? He needs to try to get a hold of himself.

Some Republicans don't think of Dean as a real Republican. How about an "all rage crossover ticket" -- McCain for President, Dean for VP?

During this meeting Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) disgraced himself by showing contempt for of all those who have been killed or injured by illegal aliens. Graham said he plays golf, that most of the courses he plays on use illegal alien labor, and that he, like many other Americans is happy to benefit from that cheap labor. Joan, Bruce and I were appalled that a United States Senator would admit that he thinks lower greens fees are more important than the lives of those he claims to represent.

Wow.

Quite a revealing post. Thanks for putting it up.

McCain is a real POS. I know many Arizonans would love to dump his ass. Amazing it hasn't already happened.

"And some people want to see him elected President?"

He's testy. His payroll for the 08 election must require success on his amnesty bill.

At this, McCain started screaming and pointed his finger in our faces: “ After all I've done for you people! I welcome you to come to my state. I'll debate the issue with you. The people of Arizona trust me…I got 77% of the vote last year. Who do you think they'll believe?”

He really said that to 9/11 family members???

If he is the nominee, I will sit it out.

Screw the GOP if they put him up there.

Enough is enough.
