David Corn setting up more strawmen again I see.
To: traderrob6
Apparently he has read neither the Kay/Duelfer reports, nor the translated documents.

At least not from the first nine documents posted by the military.
Nothing in the first nine documents. Time to quit looking.

One actually shows that Iraqi intelligence in August 2002 was looking for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq. This suggests Zarqawi was not given office space in Baghdad by Saddam, which is what some war supporters practically have claimed. I haven't seen it, perhaps mr. corn can post the transcript....

Conservatives and war-backers have been howling for the release of all these documents because they believe--or hope--that they will contain a smoking-gun memo showing that Saddam had oodles of WMDs or was buddy-buddy with bin Laden. Since the docs already show that, you're a little late CORN. And by the way, I refuse to take any guy with the last name CORN seriously.

David Corn is a pathetic jerk. Crowing about 9 documents that are not a smoking gun when millions of them have been released and not looked at yet.

In addtion to what you posted finman69 I would like to debunk the other assement by David Corn:
One actually shows that Iraqi intelligence in August 2002 was looking for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq. This suggests Zarqawi was not given office space in Baghdad by Saddam, which is what some war supporters practically have claimed. At the contrary one branch of the Iraqi intelligence has proof with pictures of Zarqawi that he was in Iraq before thw war and they asked a higher branch of the Iraqi inteligence to investigate. The higher branch of the Iraqi inteeligence service dismissed the findings of the lower branch very quickly because I believe they were told by the top command to do so, they do not want show the world that they connections with AL Qaeda but rather keep it secret affair.
Please see my translation of the document posted on the Pentagon/FMOS website that talks about this issue.

...both concluded there were no SIGNIFICANT amounts of WMDs in Iraq before the war What, pray tell is a SIGNIFICANT amount of WMD. Five Pounds of weaponized ANTHRAX? 50 Artillary shells loaded with botccilism? One 5 kiloton nuclear warhead?
Has there ever been an acceptable amount of WMD where it can just be overlooked as meaningless?
So therefore an acceptable amount of WMD is a WEAPON of MASS DESTRUCTION that would KILL only an ACCEPTABLE amount of people?!

It is absolutely amazing the way the Left is pulling against us in this war. I mean it's mind-boggling. Jackasses like Corn and Schumer and Pelosi are just the tip of the iceberg.
The New York Times and WaPo are openly pulling for more US dead. They are preaching and pushing for impeachment. They are close to insanity.
I think it was the last two elections. 2000 nearly made the Dems and MSM crazy, and when their lies were found out (Swiftboat, Rathergate, etc.) and Kerry went down in '04, they just lost it.
They really, really are insane.
