To show our diversity:
Bourbon always has a bad hair day

and Nerd Dad never has a bad hair day

More diversity:
Some people WASTE money at the beauty shop
And some people don't even need to go

But we don't go over board with our liberal ways.
"Absolutely not NO democrats allowed in this room
and I have a gun"

"Hurry with your picture taking we have things to do."

Sucking on a lemon is more fun than listening to this bunch

You forgot to tell that you and WKB left Haley a note with instructions for running the state!

One of these days. you and SV will have to attend a MS "convention." In fact, we'll have one just to welcome you home the next time you visit.

Whoa. I forgot that Cliff Finch ran for Prez in 1980. I mostly remember his lunch bucket gimmick.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Finch
After leaving office, Finch ran for President in 1980. He received 48,032 votes (0.3% of the Democratic primary vote total) in nine primaries. After his campaign for President ended, he returned to his law practice until his death.

I must admit: Your son's remark yesterday was the inspiration for the mohawk post.
Btw, I think it's funny that people think my hair is long and poofy now. They should have seen it about 10 years ago. :-)

WKB got our after-action report posted -- complete with pictures. A great time was had by all.
To All: For the record, Tyler -- front row left in the group pic and last pic of WKB's post -- is the youngest production of NerdDad and CDBear. His baby face betrays his age where his size does not. He is 6'2", 232 lbs, and wears a size 15 with his JROTC uniform. The boy is 14 years old. We're gonna have to take a second mortgage on our double-wide to afford shoes for the kid.

I believe the term used to be "fussy bachelor."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Allain
Allain ran for Governor in 1983 and during the campaign allegations arose that he engaged in acts with black male transvestite prostitutes. Allain won the election easily and the allegations were recanted after the election.
Another controversy arose during Allain's term as Governor when a maintenance worker reportedly found gay pornographic materials in Allain's personal residence and reported this to the media.

I've never gotten a speeding ticket in my life. However, I once got pulled over for tailgating a cop. Luckily, I talked my way out of that one.
That reminds me of a great Rodney Dangerfield joke. "My lawyer is sooooo good. He got the rape charges against me reduced to tailgating."

I do like that movie, but it is greatly overrated by GenXers like myself. That's why I think that Onion article is so funny. I can't tell you how many times I heard that exact same conversation in college.
btw, I can't watch the infamous ear amputation scene. Yes, I'm a wuss.

Working Man
Dave works hard at the plant and spends two nights each week bowling and plays golf every Saturday. His wife thinks he's pushing himself too hard, so for his birthday, she takes him to a local strip club.
The doorman at the club greets them and says, "Hey, Dave! How ya doin?"
His wife is puzzled and asks if he's been to this club before.
"Oh no," says Dave. "He's on my bowling team."
When they are seated, a waitress asks Dave if he'd like his usual and brings over a Budweiser.
His wife is becoming increasingly uncomfortable and says, "How did she know that you drink Budweiser?"
"I recognize her, she's the waitress from the golf club. I always have a bud at the end of the first nine, honey."
A stripper then comes over to their table, throws her arms around Dave, starts to rub herself all over him and says, "Hi Davey. Want your usual table dance, big boy?"
Dave's wife, now furious, grabs her purse and storms out of the club.
Dave follows and spots her getting into a cab. Before she can slam the door, he jumps in beside her.
Dave tries desperately to explain how the stripper must have mistaken him for someone else, but his wife is having none of it. She is screaming at him at the top of her lungs, calling him every 4-letter word in the book.
The cabby turns around and says, "Geez Dave, you picked up a real bitch this time."

WKB, I think this is the finest thread you have ever posted,
and THAT is saying A LOT! ;o)
It's wonderful to see such a fine looking group of FReepers!
It looks like you put together a fine tour, realmagnolia.
Be proud...I know everyone in attendence appreciates everything you did.
Your hair is adorable, bourbon.
Don't you ever change it.
BTW, when you hit your 40s, you're gonna be glad you will be going on 30. ;o)
Too bad we missed it, wardaddy.
It would have been fun.
As a matter of fact, I'm in Meridian right now.
My plane touched down in Jackson just after the doings broke up.
Maybe you and I can make it next time.

We will pass thru in June on the way to Seagrove....I'm guessing.
we are going to the NC house monday night....my first "break" away since October
I've worked every day 7 days a week 8-14 hours per day since Jan 9th
i don't mind it.....Annette gets burned out with it
i roll over at 7-8 and see rain or clouds I sleep unless I have a meeting...the nature of my business....build em, buy em, run em...let the grandkids have a blast...hopefully one will have some sense
but first I have to get thru a whole lot of schooling costs...Sylvan is going to run about 4k
i think we are going to go public for a year maybe...i hate it.

I'm glad to hear you are getting away for a while.
You need the break.
Where school is concerned, you gotta do what you gotta do.
If public is best right now, do it and don't look back.
You can always make a change if need be.
How's Annette feeling?
