Anti-Serb Propaganda Misled Americans in '90s
The Patriot-News (Harrisburg, PA) ^ | Sunday 19 March 2006 | Stella L. Jatras

AS I SEE IT Section of The Patriot-News,

As someone who has followed and written about the tragic civil war in the Balkans the March 12 headline, "Butcher" Milsoevic dies in jail,": prompted me to write yet another commentary giving the other side of the story.

I am no defender of Slobodan Milsoevic, who died under questionable circumstances, but in my opinion, he was nothing more than a two-bit dictator, and compared to Saddam Hussein, he was a piker. Unlike the treatment Milosevic received at The Hague, you can bet your bottom dollar that everything will be done to make sure Saddam gets a fair trial, and all the medical treatment he needs. Unlike Saddam, Milosevic was being tried in a trumpt-up International War Crimes Tribunal instead of in a court of his own people, whom he betrayed.

From the beginning of the war in Bosnia, the American people were not privy to many stories that would have given some balance to the conflict. In civil wars, all sides do terrible things; but in this war, the mainstream media misled the American people so as to present a favorable side for the Bosnian Muslims, while failing to report the meddling and bungling of U.S. foreign policy during the Clinton administration.

I remember the horrific pictures repeatedly shown on CNN of the two Muslim babies on a bus that had been "killed by a Serb sniper." I would never have known the truth had I not been watching France 2 TV where it showed the funeral of these innocent babies. Officiating at the funeral was a Serbian Orthodox priest. These were not Muslim babies killed by a Serb sniper, but Serbian babies killed by a Muslim sniper. However, for American consumption CNN had cropped the Serbian Orthodox priest from the video so that the American people would continue to believe that the Serbs were guilty.

If the "trusted" CNN lied about that, what else have they lied about?

The media lied about the supposed Trepca Mine atrocity, claiming Serbs had murdered 750 Kosovo Albanians, cut the bodies into little pieces and thrown them into the mine -- and the American people believed. It was Daniel Pearl, later murdered by al-Qaeda terrorists, who exposed the story as a hoax on the front page of The Wall Street Journal on Dec. 31, 1999.

The media also lied about the Markale market place massacre in Sarajevo, a massacre that was self-inflicted by Bosnian Muslim forces and for which NATO bombed the Serbian people. Yossef Bodansky, director of a congressional task force on terrorism, wrote in his book, Offensive in the Balkans, that the explosion at Sarajevo's main market place was a "special charge designed and built with help from Hizbullah experts," and that "This callous self-killing was designed to shock the West, especially sentimental and guillible Washington, to raise the level of Western sympathy for the Bosnian Muslims and further demonize the Serbs so that Western governments would be more supportive of Sarajevo's forcoming aggressive moves, and perhaps even finally intevene militarily."

ALL THE SUFFERING, bloodshed and death in Bosnia might have been averted had it not been for the meddling of our State Department. In The Lisbon Agreement of 1992, all three Bosnian leaders representing the Croats, Muslims and Serbs, endorsed the proposal that the republic be a confereration divided into three ethnic regions. The plan was scuttled when our American ambassador to Yugoslavia advised Alija Izetbegovic, representing the Muslim party of Bosnia, that "if he didn't like it, why sign it?" This doomed an agreement that even the same ambassador later said "wasn't so bad after all."

I leave you with the following quote: "This organized anti-Serb and pro-Muslim propaganda should cause anyone believing in democracy and free press serious concerns. It recalls Hitler's propaganda against the allies in World War II. Facts are twisted and, when convenient, disregarded." -- Yohanan Ramati, director of the Jerusalem Institute for Western Defense.

I have never understood why Clinton acted as he did in Bosnia, favoring the drug running, murdering Muslims.

The American MSM are whores for the democrats. They care not who is hurt by their lies and half truths, just that what they report makes Democrats look good to the American voter. Why this is so is beyond my comprehension.

You must look at the TIMING of the Muslim = good, Bosnia = evil + wicked attacks in the American/democrat/liberal/Clinton-loving media.

Impeachment was basically over in mid-January, Juanita's story was just coming out, and just being covered up as well through the end of the month.

Clinton called a three-day, closed-door, strategy-and-tactics meeting with the NATIONAL MSM press in Washington. Days later, as soon as the doors opened and the MSM national press had their marching orders, they began publicizing/exaggerating/propagandizing the Bosnia civil war: from the point you see now: Bosnia (evil German-supporting white Catholics) against Muslim (nice, Arab, innocent victims of greatly exaggerated attacks.)

After four weeks of propaganda every night, every morning, and every broadcast, Hillary had the "nice little war" of protecting the innocents, complete with victims in cattle cars being evacuated and unsubstantiated accounts of a 100,000 Muslims killed.

Which never happened either!

Yep, so he destroyed a Christian country, more or less, just to save the appearance of his perverted, useless piece of crap presidency and turned it over to murdering, drug growing and selling Muslims.

They can all thank Clinton, Soros and the rest of the Demorat party.

I read, (I will have to look up the articles again) that Germany was also to blame, they had massive oil and other economic interests in the Balkans, and it is public knowledge that they lead the push for war. Of course their military is a joke. So they helped spread the lies, with their willing accomplice Clinton who had his own reasons, none good, and the MSM. No blood for oil? Even though we fought their unjust war for them, they then promptly stab us in the back, using the most ironic claim of oil. Bring our troops home, withdraw from Germany. Why should we be supporting them?

Some day someone is going to write a history of the Clinton Administration move in March 1993 to arm the Balkan Muslims. This was done through the CIA and despite a UN embargo. Its consequence, inter alia, was the failure of the Vance-Waldegrave peace initiative, and the subsequent creation of a Muslim state in Europe.

clinton saw what an Arab (Muslim) oil boycott did to Jimmy Carter. clinton did not want that happening to him.

It also gave him an "evil" enemy to oppose. Cyrillic alphabet = Russia lite. An enemy that was no threat to us.

And the pro Germany elements in his government were always there to push an anti-Serb agenda. Those pesky Serbs, always in the way of the Berlin-Baghdad axis.

I too have never figured out why Europe sat on their hands, even before Clintons deceived and seduced a nation to become the leaders of the free world.

I remember finding out that his Monica was making him feel good while he was on the phone with a Congressman promoting his war.

Oh and yesterday every news station I turned to local and cable were marking the 3rd anniversary of Iraq, and NOT one mention of Clintons one year war.

Good points......amazing how Slick made up his 'little war' to divert national attention from his personal life debacles to 'mass murder' by the Serbs. Of course, his administration was so clueless as to what was really going on because the US had virtually no intel on the ground due directly to his own budget cuts. The saddest thing about it all, the MSM and the Libs still worship this guy for some reason consistently disregarding any facts as to the contrary as to Slick's underhanded anti-US, anti-Christian behavior.

It recalls Hitler's propaganda against the allies in World War II.

Or the British and allied propaganda that brought us into the WWI debacle.

Yep and what really scares me is the possibility for the dems to regain control of the Congress and/or Hitlery or some other Clinton/Carter clone might win the presidency.

And the Force behind anti-Serbism is the Vatican, with centuries of Eastern Orthodox hate and warfare behind it culminating in the gory genocidal atrocities visited on the Serbs by Croats and Catholic priests during WWII.

The media has indeed been lopsided here.

A real picture of the clinton's.I wish the freeper who used to have the graphic video's shown to the Beatles tune" Just Another Day" would re-release the video! Like the truth that so many times shows up on the net, it too seems to have been sanitized right off the screens available to America.
