In the 1990's I taught elementary school classes for the extremely intelligent. The students had to have a minimum of a 130 IQ. Several of my students tested at the 98 or 99 percentile on college SATs. Another student took his first university class at the age of nine! His professor told me he had the highest test scores, but lab work with a partner was a challenge.

After reading Autumn's poem I believe this "poem" was actually written by her father. The unusual vocabulary and awkward phrasing of words seems more the product of an adult attempting to sound like a gifted child. If this child is truly academicly gifted, she would have organized her thoughts in a more orderly way.

On occasion I've had parents fake work in their children's name in hope of gaining admission to the program, or to cover the fact that their young scholar didn't do his assignments in a timely manner.

Whites Europeans were so susceptible to certain tropical diseases that they could not go beyond the coastal areas without dying. The slave trade was a huge human horror, but it was not possible without black Africans helping it and profiting from it. Whites in American died in great numbers in a war that brought slavery in the US to an end. Some freed blacks had become slave masters in the US. Some freed blacks became slave masters in Liberia, the country founded in Africa by freed American black slaves. The horror of slavery is not a crime perpetuated or practiced by one race.

If a child is educated correctly, and she's home shooled, they can have an understanding of those things. Black people are under bondage in our school systems, teachers who are racist make black children scared of learning through psychology. I just think it's odd how so many people would come up against this, the truth, when nothing is done when racism is displyed against blacks. Maybe people should sit in an African American's position before lashing out at this girl.
