Will be interesting to see how many folks have taken note to his less then honorable support of the war effort. But it may be a hard sell, with so much discontent with this administration, due to the L/MSM machine. I do hope she can at least do well in voter's eyes. Time will tell the outcome.

You cannot compare the districts you suggest. Ron Paul's district is distinctly libertarian, and he further has not gone on nationwide TV to argue for surrender and to bash our military.

This Pennsylvania district is rural and fairly conservative. My original point is that it is not an inner city, Democratic/minority district. It is a hawkish, swing district.

Win or lose, we tie Murtha down. Watch for him to shrink from nationwide public view in a hurry.

How do you figure it's a "swing" district when Murtha has occupied the seat for my entire adult life?

Murtha brings back too much DoD bacon and holds too much clout. He's not going anywhere. This is a futile effort.

I'm next door in Murphy's district. You're not going to get the people in Johnstown, who see the results of Murtha's influence every day, to vote him out. Not going to happen. It would be nice if it were possible, but it isn't.

Thanks for the ping. Read the thread earlier this morning. I'm very happy she's in the race. I've been on the President's speech thread and there was talk of Irey on it. She'll get some support nation wide, I believe. There's a lot of people that want to see Murtha get his walking papers.
