Now hear this:
Thanks to John McCain, Free Republic will shut down tomorrow at high noon for 30 days. No non government approved electioneering messages may be transmitted over the internet for the 30 days immediately preceding a primary election.
That is all.
The above exercise was just a drill. But if John McCain has his way with his proposed rules for regulating political free speech on the internet, this is how we will be forced to operate in the coming election cycle and all election cycles in the future until we can get the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold act repealed.

Ah, is this a joke, right, please tell me it is.
Personally, I'd keep the site up and I'd tell McCain to stuff it where the sun don't shine and if he gave me any guff, he's so much of a wimp I'd turn my almost 19 year old calico cat on him and she'd kick his butt to be sure.
Still though, me here in Penna, it is easy to say. I got an idea, I'm a big believer in buying American and moving things offshore is terrible and hurts America. However, if this is true, maybe you can host the site offshore. I know there is a small "micronation" off of the UK called "Sealand" where a guy took over an abandoned oil platform and declared his own country in the 1970's, I heard that it how has servers on it hosting websites and so on. So maybe a non-US host would be the way to go to beat McCain.

is there a recall system in Arizona?
That'd be a place to start. He's not up for re-election to the senate till 2010.
In the meantime we should begin setting up Stop McCain 2008 organizations in early primary states. These grassroots groups could cut McCain off early and cripple him in the 2008 race.
He won't be able to raise funds if we humilate him in the first few primaries..
