Am I the only kook (Keeper Of Odd Knowledge) that still remembers that band of about 5 or 6 Russians (supposed diplomats) that got hit and killed just north of Baghdad on the road toward Syria by fire from our warplanes just a day or two after our troops helped the Iraq people pull down that statue of Saddam?

Am I the only KOOK that still speculates and thearorizes that the danged Rooskies were DEEPly involved with Saddam's Weapons Of Mass Destruction, most certainly including the nuclear weapons so as to be a client/puppet of Russia withwhich to threaten the US AND THE WORLD's ECONOMIC LYNCH-PIN OF OIL SUPPLY?

And furthermore... Am I the only KOOK that believes strongly that the Russians saw to it that the WMD's were snuck into Syria, where they remain today for the same reason they were in Saddam's Iraq in the first place?

I just don't think "W" got all the way into rootin tootin boot skootin putin's soul through his eyes like he said he did!!!

Why were these relatively small forces so worrisome? My guess is their location near the Iraq-Syrian border and the composition of these air units were suggestive of support for an air assault attack on traffic to and from Syria. What was moving between Iraq and Syria that would be of concern to the Russians?

I agree it's depressing, and demoralizing. But we need to show up in force in June and November. Regardless of how ugly the top of the ticket looks, there are some solid down-ticket conservatives that need our support! Hey, weren't you the one givin' me a peptalk a while back? LOL.

Gazeta.Ru has obtained sensational evidence proving the involvement of a group of former Soviet generals in preparing the Iraqi army for war against the United States. The generals in question refused to discuss their degree of involvement, but admitted that just before the beginning of the US-led campaign against Iraq they received state awards from the Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

Photos, which Gazeta.Ru has acquired, show an awards ceremony (namely awards, our sources emphasized, and not gifts), involving two very prominent Russian generals.

They are retired Soviet officers, Col.-Gen. Vladimir Achalov and Col.-Gen. Igor Maltsev. The former completed his military career as the Soviet deputy defence minister, after being the Air-Borne Troops commander and the first and last Soviet commander-in-chief of the rapid-reaction forces. The latter resigned from the post of the chief of the Main Staff of the Soviet Air Defence. In 1991 both generals backed the GKChP, (the State Committee for the State of Emergency, set up by a group of Gorbachev opponents with the goal of supplanting him and preventing the disintegration of the USSR) and were consequently dismissed from military service.
