Richard Reid?! Oh, come on.... Reid wasn't even in the US during or before 9-11 that I ever heard of.

The significance of the testimony isn't that he is telling the truth. What it means is that he just gave everything needed to put his butt on death row.

He's obviously lying. Richard Reid wasn't even capable of lighting a match.

Nor was he in America at the time.

It's not bizarre that he would lie on the stand in a death penalty case. What is bizarre is that he would admit to culpability to a completely different crime.

It would almost make sense in setting up an insanity defense, but it's too late to do that now.

Best I can tell, it's just utter contempt for our judicial system.

I don't think the jury shares that contempt, so he's a dead man.
