Mexican manipulations
The Washington Times ^ | March 28, 2006 | Phil Kent

Posted on 03/28/2006 4:06:15 PM PST by SwinneySwitch

Most Americans see first-hand the disastrous impact of illegal immigration on our wallets, wages and culture. The annual entry of more than 1 million illegal aliens from around the world, better than 30 percent of them Mexicans sneaking across our southern border, obviously undercut homeland-security efforts. Yet more Americans must understand that Mexico's government, far from being a friend, is actively working to subvert our country's laws and political institutions.

Not since the heyday of expansionist Soviet communism has there been such an organized effort to undermine our nation.

If our borders are not controlled and immigration law enforced, will we truly be a "United States" in another 10 years or a completely balkanized, multicultural society with English downgraded as the common tongue? The Mexican government promotes reconquista in the Southwest. Isn't it obvious in many areas that Mexicans are pushing out Americans, refusing to speak English and establishing de facto Mexican enclaves? A growing number of Mexicans despise their northern neighbor. American soccer fans, to cite just one example, have repeatedly witnessed the outrageous behavior of Mexican crowds during the playing of "The Star Spangled Banner," including cheers of "Osama, Osama"-- a reference to the murder of 3,000 Americans on September 11.

The Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior (Institute of Mexicans Abroad) has no respect for the internal affairs of our country. The institute was created by decree of Mexican President Vicente Fox and reports to a shadowy clique within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its vast computer database is used to deploy illegal and legal Mexicans to lobby state legislatures, city councils and county commissions to recognize worthless matricula consular "identification" cards, support granting driver's licenses to illegals, promote multilingualism at the expense of English and help Mexicans and their children sponge off....

The politicians who passed this bill are more worried about the Hispanic vote and their stinking jobs than they are about the United States of America.

patriotism is a joke on Capitol hill. these people are in to feathering their nests, not protecting America.

We need to get rid of the whole stinking bunch democrats and republicans.

I once heard a scenario for a war between Russia and China. On the first day of the war, China marches one million men over the Russian border and they surrender. On the second day of the war, China marches one million men over the Russian border and they surrender. On the twentieth day of the war, Russia surrenders without a single shot being fired.

One ofSending a letter to any of the Bishops is a waste of time.
As far as they are concerned, the bishops don't care what the other parishioners think about this issue!

My suggestion is to stop putting money in the collections on Sunday! This will get their attention. Let the Bishops depend on the illegals to support them in their lifestyles.

In our church the illegals place between $200 to $300 in the collection baskets on Sunday. All of their activities are supported by the other parishioners!

MONEY MATTERS TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND WILL HAVE A GREAT EFFECT ON THEIR SUPPORT FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION! the primary supporters of illegal immigration is the Catholic Church which is sponsoring these illegal demonstrations. The Catholic Church made a mess out of Mexico, Latin America and South America. Look at any country where the Catholic Church plays a prominent role and see how it has ruined the society.

I am a Catholic but I find the Hierarchy of Bishops have done more to ruin society.

Just look at how they have handled pedofile priest, the money of the church, bankrupting diocese and now the illegal immigration mess!

This business of pandering for votes doesn't add up. When lefty pubs are posting pieces with this type of language they have some reservations. What's missing is, what I believe to be obvious, that amnesty is going to lead to an "organization" [enter Joan Baez' "I dreamed I saw Joe Hill" soundtrack) that will make the AFL, CIO, UAW etc. look like a Boy Scout jamboree. Cheap labor goes away right now. This is war. I believe we'll try the voting booth first but if that doesn't work the "social contract", very fragile as we speak, mey be cancled.

Mexico ENCOURAGES immigration (both legal and otherwise) because it is a BIG MONEY MAKER for Mexico. The last number I saw, was that $20 billion/year is sent back to Mexico from Mexicans (legal and illegal) in this country!

What a great deal for Mexico and its trade balance!!!

Wow, talk about our current account deficit! I wonder if this money is even included in our trade deficit numbers?

"Why are you still a Catholic then?"

Why do you hide behind your faith in openly advocating sedition against your country?

Oh, and you still haven't answered as to whether or not you are an immigration attourney, or under paid or pro-bono employ of one of these anti-American illegal immigration lobbies.

I'm not a formal member of any congregation. I visit with a minister about once a month, and attend an informal bible-study with about the same frequency.

I am a sole-proprietor and mental health professional.

"I'm not a Catholic, an immigration attorney, or under paid or pro-bono employ of one of these anti-American illegal immigration lobbies."

If that's the case, then why were most of your pro-illegal arguments parroting the objections of the Vatican? Just a ploy as were your dubious 'fiscal conservatism' arguments, then?

Your opinions are contrary to the vast majority of American citizens. Why do you hold them? Open up and state your bias. Nationalistic loyalties to Mexico? Familial ties? Latino ascendancy agenda?

It is wrong to withold support from the Church for any reason. It's an obligation under canon law.

On the other hand, I try to give to the parish instead of the Catholic Charities or other orgs, I am always fearful of what they are going to do with it.

Follow the advice of Congressman Peter King.

If your bishop or priest condones these law-breakers-and chances are he does-then you need to give him an earful.

Tell him that the Archdiocese won't be seeing nickel one from you.

When Voice of the Faithful and other laity organizations started to put pressure on them for their unconscionable inaction in terms of sexual abuse in the Church, they felt the pinch in the pocketbook.

All of the Catholics in this country need to do the same thing.

If they want to do pander to illegal aliens then they can find their funding from more hospitable sources, like Home Depot and WAL-MART.

"Did you chime in on the Teddy Roosevelt quote about "UNLIMITED" legal immigration yet?"

That was back in the early 1900's. Back in those days, there were effective limits on the rate of immigration due to the difficulty of getting here, and the sheer lack of worldwide population. Most of the United States was an unpopulated frontier. We also weren't faced with organizations like La Raza, Al Qaeda, the UN, et al, bent on subversion or destruction of our sovereignty and government.

Terrorist threats and insurgencies were limited to the last few Native Americans still fighting the Federal government in the Old West, and the odd foreigner with a rifle who had it in for America.

Teddy was a statesman, but also an unabashed expansionist and nationalist. Highly doubtful that he would have looked kindly upon Mexico's interference in our domestic policy.

Our country currently has a glut of uneducated and unskilled labor. We have at least 12 million people currently out of work in this country who would gladly accept the jobs that illegals now occupy when the pay meets basic living standards (as it will when criminals are prosecuted for employing illegals).

I don't want a recesssion (or worse) though. And, yes, things were different in Teddy's day - I believe the quote came up specifically regarding populating the South too. I guess you and I are going to have to agree to disagree on how many Americans are "too many" Americans.

I couldn't agree with you more. Both the House and the Senate should first assign appropriations to build the wall. They really don't need any new laws on the books to curtail illegal immigration.
Like you said the politicos are running scared and afraid of hurting the Hispanic vote. But what they don't realize is that the majority of Hispanics legally here in the US don't want the illegals. The illegals give Hispanics a bad name.
