Good morning, Mayor. How are you doing this fine day?
Thanks for our beautiful lesson from God's Word. We can be bold when we have he confidence given by being His!
Tijuana Brass!! LOLOL!!
I'm hearing fine on the Fox feed. Better than usual, as a matter of fact.
"I expect them all to be deported....
hate me, call me names.... but yes- I expect it...
I expect law ENFORCEMENT.. not law amendments to appease law breakers and let Law Enforvers off the hook for ignoring their duties.... "
I don't hate you in the least.. I wish it could be done.. but the logistics of rounding up 12 million+ is mind-boggling....
I thought the UAE port terminal deal was FINE... the Illegals marching calling for Reconquista... NOT FINE.
Loud and clear! :o)
Hi Rod!
Good point about the Cubans
If you haven't seen it, here's a pretty good article on immigration:
When illegal is right, what is wrong?

There's nothing like the sight of 500,000 protesters on U.S. turf, demanding rights in Spanish while waving Mexican flags, to stir Americans from their siestas.
In Los Angeles, the iconic phrase may be "Si se puede," but in Muncie, it's "What the ... ?"
Suddenly, in the flash of a newscast, polite political debate about guest worker programs visually morphed into what seemed like a full-blown invasion.
Demonstrations have the desired effect of focusing attention on an idea - and television cameras can tighten that focus so that a slow drip looks like a tsunami. But the same imagery can backfire. I suspect that the sight of so many people demanding rights to which they have no legal claim will not help the cause of illegals in this country, even if it motivates politicians to act, well, politically.
Let's just say that convincing others of one's desire to become an American citizen would be more effective if one were to do so in English - while waving an American flag. Just imagine how welcome 500,000 bubbas waving American flags and chanting, "Hell no, we won't go," would be in Mexico City.

Finally got mine up after I went back into my IE security settings and enabled a couple of scripting options that I'd shut off last night as a precaution after hearing about some MORE Microsoft/hacker problems.
I'll just copy the thing I got last night from Download.com:
I had to really turn up the sound on my computer, but it is there.
I saw pictures of some that were high school kids whose school hung an American flag upsidedown on the flagpole. What kid wouldn't want to get out of school and show off and be loud. They probably had no idea what they were doing....or if they did, where did they learn it. In that school?
Bingo! I'm sure most people have no idea what flying the flag upside down even means.
Thanks SC, I will try and check it out later. Wish I could freep all the time instead of work all the time.
I'll tell you this ignoring the law that Congress is doing for the sake of Hispanic votes is pure unadulterated BS, it needs to stop. Obey the law all the time!!
When citizens stop obeying the law and start making our own off the cuff, you have anarchy.
Seeing that flag made me mad...and it made me sick at my stomach. To think that people who claim to be Americans have no more respect for this great country than that really does make me want to just haul their a**es back where they came from.
Pass the cuss jar!
Those crowds held mostly Mexican flags Tony... mostly Mexican flags.
I expect most of the kids were just glad to have a day off from studying. But woe unto the ones that DID know what they were doing. The organizers....who are they and where are they now? They need to be held responsible!
"Agreed. The people who did it are idiots -- and I'd love to see some immigrants come out and let them have it."
Let's see......I'm ninth generation immigrant on my Father's side and eleventh on my Mom's.
Can I still volunteer for that detail?
The organizers were close to "Inciting a riot".
Citizens have to obey the laws. It's the illegal alien laws that are being rewritten, in order to change ther label from "illegal" to "legal." Voila, no more illegal aliens. And once the law is changed, they aren't lawbreakers anymore, hence no anarchy.
See how easy it is!
ignoring the law that Congress is doing for the sake of Hispanic votes ...
The Senate is following the expressed direction of President Bush, which emphatically includes and requires a guest worker program.
yeah the logistics of deporting illegals is too tough...
it is much easier to create offices, develop paperwork and a screening process, hire people to screen these people, then create a process of documenting who and who is reaching the standards of becoming legal...monitor them for 6 years, verify they have actually traveled back home, verify that the people who take the ENglish test are actually the people applying for amnesty, then track down the people who don't show up and register, and do "what?" to them????, and then actually what? deport the ones they catch that didn't register or failed to meer the requirements? meanwhile they marry, have kids, cry for immunity for the "family's sake" then those too old or infertile will claim discrimination....
yeah- much easier....create a whole new ineffective gov't agency and process....that they won't be able to enforce...
sorry- I am not trying to be mean to you... I just think we need to follow through our thoughts... instead of saying things that sound "reasonable" or PC....
Agreed! I agree w most of your plan; however, we still need to address spouses who don't work and Anchor Babies - both a potential drain on our system. No welfare, food stamps, medicaid, medicare - period. Emergency healthcare - ok (the problem is many use the ER as a regular Doctor's office - which is much more expensive).
I'd still like to see us deduct $s for each illegal from the aid we send to the relevant countries.
I saw a demonstration yesterday....all kids, all flags were Mexican flags. I wanted to direct them to the South. They're in the wrong country.
Does anyone really believe that we would cut off welfare benefits to illegals or force them to pay a fine? Here is the argument we will hear: Is is fair to deport a large, poor family that cannot pay the $2000 (is it $2000 per person or per family?) when a smaller, more affluent family can pay it and is allowed to stay? The whole idea of requiring these folks to pay fines is silly and I certainly can't see welfare benefits being taken away. As time goes on these provisions will be watered down. They only put these provisions in this bill to make them easier to sell to the American people. I feel like we are being humored.
I think that they DID incite a riot. If it looks like a riot, sounds like a riot and smells like a riot...it IS a riot! Just thankful no one was killed..or I assume this is so.
I'm on your side LOL..
excellent points!
Only thing I'm saying is that I can't see a house to house hunt... not that I wouldn't want one.
Yes they will, if they are ever even enforced to begin with. This is capitulation, plain and simple. Raise the white flag, we have given up.
Now, now, it's not a riot unless the HSM says so! /sarc
I have no problem with a guest worker program, but they must be legal, and not eligible for all the freebies they are being given by some states, and by the courts.
LOL!
No- a house-to-house hunt would NOT be good!
but I would love to have regular police officers start locking them up when they find them on routine work, and then FINE the INS if they don't come and get them.......
If the INS starts losing funds for not doing their job.. they might start to develop a sense of worth ethic! LOL!!!
Tony should have Senator Sessions on the program to be fair and balanced :)
Exactly. Can anyone really imagine that the Democrats will follow through with taking benefits away from illegals when they work so hard to give them MORE benefits like driver's licenses, free tuition, etc.? We are being duped.
"Now, now, it's not a riot unless the HSM says so! /sarc"
I'm to the point that if those bozos claim the weather is clear, warm and dry, I break out the snow shovels and rig for a blizzard.
Morning, FOX. My model T computer was giving me fits this morning, but I knew that one of our good people was going to realize that I was in trouble here and the thread would get posted.
We have a huge illegal population here in GA. I know many in my area who use the local staging area for pick-up work. You can get small household labor or small business can get day labor for bigger projects. It is no secret where to go to get the labor. I know many who have used these guys because they are hard working, fair and reliable. One friend told me that he tried to hire guys through the state labor pool. The men would show up, give an attitude about the kind of work and then not show up the next day. The hispanics never complain, beg to come back and are for the most part, good people.
I understand that most at the staging area just want work. However, on the other hand, a parent was telling me that her daughter came home from school the other day pleading with them to let her go to ESL class. Seems she is one of only 5 kids out of 15 that do not attend the class. ESL is "English as a Second Language".
The local Hispanic State representative just demanded that the provision in the GA bill calling an illegal "illegal" be stricken. He says that illegals will not be forthcoming in calling 911 or reporting crimes if they fear being deported. Where is the logic in that statement?
As I stated I am not as passionate in this topic as many but I do recognize there is a huge problem tht needs to be addressed.
"but I would love to have regular police officers start locking them up when they find them on routine work, and then FINE the INS if they don't come and get them......."
I agree 100%
LOL !
>Thank you for stepping up, by the way.
Glad to help.
Glad you two finally showed up! ;o)
We're on the illegal immigrant situation again.
He just read some questions from the citizenship test. I just wonder if I could pass it? Yark!
So true Rod. I'm freeping before I go to work. Wish I could freep all the time, too ;-)
