I didn't even think they were still doing interior enforcement. Looks like what little they were doing is now kaput. I don't know why we're even bothering with a Border Patrol, just throw the doors open.

Let's bring the troops home and put 'em on our borders. I thought an invasion was a mandate for our military to get involved. Let's take care of our country first and foremost. If we can't take care of our own country...what makes anyone especially the DC crooks think we can help other countries.

I don't agree with extremists on either side.
I do not agree with them either. Research and study have taught me that extremists are trumpeting a position based upon willful ignorance of the laws and facts. Swallowing the rhetoric of politicians and special interest groups.

"So in short, most here on FR agree with the problem. But the leadership refuses to confront it. What do we do now?"
Take control of your local government. Get elected to village councils and county commissions. Volunteer for local committes like planning, health, highway, safety.
The head (federal government) can't function without the body (local government). Local government can bring the federal government to a screeching halt.
For example, if a local business hires illegals and the federal government ignores the law, a local committee can shut down that business for, say, health and safety violations. (Until it fixes its illegal problem.)

(Until it fixes its illegal problem.) Great idea. But if tried, there would be more ACLU lawyers swarming over the city in question than you can shake a stick at. That, and unfortunately where I live the elected officials don't run city government, the city employees do (and have told the officials so). But still, great points for positive action!
I like to gripe like the next guy, but we need a course of action now.

Once the Mexicans take over they will probably put up a big statue of Simon Bolivar, Che Gueverra, and Jorge Arbusto dressed in Quetzacoatl's feathered war bonnet and robes...
He can be holding an obsidian knife and have Uncle Sam's beating heart in his hands offered up to 'whoever'...with Sammy slumped over the altar...
In Re-Coquista Aztec pyramid park....
or not...

If the police opened up a fake fencing operation in order to snag burglars guilty of B & E and receiving stolen property, it would likely be hailed as a sterling example of Local Law Enforcement taking the initiative to fight crime in our neighborhoods.
Why is this ICE sting op any different?
