CYNTHIA MCKINNEY JUST BEING CYNTHIA MCKINNEY
Nealz Nuze ^ | 3/30/06 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 03/30/2006 5:03:51 AM PST by GeorgiaDawg32

I guess everyone's heard the story by now. When I get to the studios I'm sure that Web Guy will tell me we've had hundreds of emails on the subject. It seems that Georgia's embarrassment, Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, has slugged, or slapped, or punched, or hit ... whatever ... a capitol hill police officer. Here is the way it was reported to have happened. Cynthia is entering one of the House office buildings. It wasn't the building in which her office is located. She was not wearing the lapel pin that identifies her as a member of congress. She exercises her privilege of walking around the metal detectors. The police officer doesn't recognize her and goes after her. That's his job. When he (chose one) (a) place his hand on her shoulder; or (b) grabbed her arm, she turned around and (a) hit, (b) punched (c) slapped him in his (a) face (b) chest with (a) her open hand (b) her fist (c) her cell phone.

And the cop was supposed to see a woman who looks like that, dressed in sweats, and recognize her as a U.S. representative? She looks like half the crackheads in the Capitol Hill area.

This is not racist. People judge us by the way we're dressed and groomed. A homely-looking white woman who came into the Longworth Building wearing sweats, no makeup or jewelry, with her hair messed up, would have had a hard time from the cops too.

I think that needs to go now. Why on earth can our representatives ignore security that the rest of us commoners have to tolerate?

A "Republican" radio host in Philadelphia spent time talking and taking calls about Scalia's gesture and its meaning. Not a word (that I heard) about McKinney assaulting someone at the Capital.
Guess which story got 'Muzzled'?

'This is what you must expect when you put the ignorant lower classes in positions of power.'

There is an enlightened lower class that exceeds all wisdom, insight, and brains of the ignorant upper class.

Naturally an enlightened upper class exists as well.

Can you imagine if some white conservative US rep had been accused of assaulting an underling? The outcry would be deafening and that person would probably have to resign. The protected left wing class of officeholders can get away with anything though.

The officer should have subdued her with appropriate force, placed her in hand cuffs, called for backup and taken her away to jail. Last time I checked, assault on a police officer was a felony as is resisting arrest, which I'm sure she would have committed once being placed under arrest.

Unfortunately, the one part of the US Constitution that every congresscritter has committed to memory is Article I. Section 6: ".... They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Sessions of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same;"

Also, unfortunately they have substituted the word "including" for the word "except" in common application of this item.

McKinney's a moonbat and everyone knows it. The Capitol Hill cops couldn't arrest her at the time because she was protected by the Constitution. However, the CHP most certainly *can* arrest her when she's not in "Attendance at the Sessions of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same." It's a smart move on the CHP's part to wait.

I guarantee that they have video from multiple angles with sound -- and I can't wait to see it.

The Capitol Hill Police aren't going to play it that way, though. If they believed that what she was doing was a breach of the peace, they'd have arrested her at the time.

The Constitution protects Congresscritters from being arrested while going to or from Congress while it's in session, or from being arrested while in session. It is NOT complete immunity while Congress is in session, although it's been interpreted that way in the past for relatively minor offenses like speeding, etc. She's being arrested while NOT attending session, or traveling to/from session, but arrested for a crime that happened while she was traveling to/from session.

Hairwoman was just on Fox and Friends.

Brian couldn't get her to answer a single question. She just sat there, looking like the Cheshire Cat, and filibustered. Hairwoman uttered hundreds of words and didn't say a thing other than the incident was the fault of everyone but herself.

It got really funny when Hairwoman's attorney got on the phone. Hairwoman and the attorney joined in a filibuster duet, the two of them talking over each other for a couple of minutes. You couldn't understand either of them, not like they were saying anything, anyway.

The folks in Georgia's 4th Congressional District must be very proud of themselves.

Round of applause for Georgia's 4th District.

So Drudge just ran this hilarious bit about Buckwheat failing to show up for two televised debates:

Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D) failed to appear at two televised debates over the weekend, fueling criticism from two opponents who are challenging the controversial incumbent in a July 18 primary in the Georgia's 4th District.

CONGRESSIONAL QUARTERLY reports: DeKalb County Commissioner Hank Johnson and architectural firm project manager John Coyne, who are challenging McKinney, debated Saturday on WSB-TV and also participated in a second debate Friday that was sponsored by the Atlanta Press Club and which will air tonight at 7 p.m. Johnson's campaign said that McKinney's absence was a "slap in the face" to her constituents.

Well if anyone knows about slapping faces, it's this woman!
