Posted on 03/31/2006 9:06:15 AM PST by Bokababe
Townhall columnist Michelle Malkin noted in her column this week that an estimated 500,000 to 2 million people, untold numbers of them here illegally, took to the streets of Los Angeles to protest strict immigration enforcement and to demand blanket amnesty for border violators, visa overstayers, deportation fugitives, immigration document fraud artists and other lawbreakers. Mexican flags and signs advocating ethnic separatism and supremacy filled the landscape. Demonstrators gleefully defaced posters of President Bush and urged supporters to Stop the Nazis! Los Angeles talk show host Tammy Bruce reported that protesters burned American flags and waved placards of the North American continent with America crossed out.
One of the largest, boldest banners visible from aerial shots of the rally read: 'THIS IS STOLEN LAND' Others blared: 'CHICANO POWER' and 'BROWN IS BEAUTIFUL!'
Malkin quoted Sandra Molina, 16, a junior from L.A.'s Downtown Magnet High School, who complained: "This is unjust. This land used to belong to us and now they're trying to kick us out."
And, that sentiment was not limited to Los Angeles. In Wisconsin marchers held signs that said: "If you think I'm 'illegal' because I'm a Mexican, learn the true history because I'm in my HOMELAND."
Technically and logically Malkin is absolutely correct in pointing out that those who came here illegally or who stayed in the country after their visa documents expired or with fraudulent documents are criminals and lawbreakers. Yet as recently as 7 years ago this week the might and power of the United States Air Force was used to bomb a nation who tried, unsuccessfully, to defend one of its states against the same kind of massive influx of illegals that has occurred in California.
I've written about this for years. Just last year in an article titled, "Illegal aliens' use of terrorism to get a seat in the United Nations I wrote, shortly after the London railway was bombed:
For some reason for years the West has urged victims of terrorist attacks in Tel Aviv and Belgrade to placate and appease the terrorists in their midst. Governments in London, Washington and the United Nations have pressured both Jews and Serbs to surrender their lands to placate the terrorists who blow up their citizens, their police and, in Kosovo, 135 of their churches.
In a province of about 2 million people, which is approximately the population of Utah, in the years between 1991-1998, there were 1126 terrorist attacks in Kosovo which killed or wounded 616 policemen, 16 refugees in refugee shelters and 494 citizens. To address this problem, President Clinton decided to bomb the Serbs for not being nice enough to the Albanian population in Kosovo and for insisting that the illegal Albanians go home.
In Israel, in a population of about 4.5 million Jews, during the same period of time, the terrorists killed 390 people. The terror attacks increased between September 2000 and October 2003 with 884 people killed and 5932 injured in Israel bv terrorist bombers. In 2004, another 117 people were killed in Israel by Palestinian terrorists in 2004, and most of those attacks were not even mentioned by the media in the West.
However, when 50 people were killed a week ago in of Britains 60 million people, it was front page news in every country in the world. Although Britain helped bomb the Serbs when they tried to send illegal aliens home to Albania, there were instant demands that illegals be rounded up and exported when the public thought illegal aliens had bombed London trains. That has quieted down now that it appears the bombers were British citizens.
For years we have supported the notion that the Jews and the Serbs should negotiate with the terrorists, and give them land to stop the slaughter of citizens on the streets in Israel or Serbia. Ive been writing about this for years. People forget that Yasser Arafat, who until his death was the leader of the Palestinians, was not born on the West Bank, but in Egypt. He began smuggling weapons into Jerusalem as a teenager to kill British soldiers. Many other so-called Palestinians are also citizens of other countries. Likewise, nearly a million Albanian Muslims, over 25% of its working age population, left Albania following the 1990 collapse of the Communist government and economy in Albania, and illegally entered Kosovo, Greece, Italy and other European nations. During the 1990s those Albanians used terrorism and crime to drive out 250,000 Serbs.
After his election in 1989 Slobodan Milosevic, tried to reverse the incoming hordes of Albanians. Nearly one third of the Albanians fleeing their countrys economic collapse simply walked across the border into Kosovo province of the disintegrating Yugoslavia and stayed there. They are now demanding independent status and the property of Serbs, Jews, and others as their right to possess.
In late 1997, the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), funded largely with illegal drug money from the Albanian mafia, (with weapons supplied by Osama bin Laden and Iran) began a series of attacks on Serbian police forces, government officials, and Serbian refugees in Kosovo. The Milosevic Government responded by sending the Yugoslav army into Kosovo to stop the attacks. Note that some Americans today are demanding that the US Army be sent to the Mexican border to stop illegal immigration into the USA.
In trying to stop illegal aliens from seizing a portion of his nation, Slobodan Milosevic was arrested as a war criminal, spent the last 4 years defending himself in a trial composed of judges selected by those who bombed his nation, and died under strange circumstances as the trial was supposedly coming to an end.
Could the same thing happen to an American President? After all, it is true that California and Texas once actually had an Hispanic government, while Kosovo NEVER was controlled by an Albanian government, but was Serbian occupied for over 1000 years and there were hundreds of historic Serbian Christian churches, monasteries and landmarks to prove it until the Albanians began blowing them up.
Both the Albanians and the Hispanics believe they can seize land, create a country, get a seat at the United Nations and make you believe they are the victims. It seems to be working for the Albanians who expect to get Kosovo as their independent nation. Why shouldnt it work for the Mexicans in Los Angeles County?
Fox presidente is speaking and he said respect for people MUST be part of immigration, excuse me but AMERICANS deserve the respect!!!
The war on Serbia is just one of many things CLINTON SHOULD BURN IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY.
President Bush is playing be "neighborly card" and Mexico is a Nation of Law...Mexico is a nation of lawlessness...I though Fox was gonna choke when Bush said we need to stop the "dope runners"...hell that's a big part of Mexico's economy...and it's the grease that runs Mexico City politics.
Seems that both " alien immigration" problems -- illegal Mexicans to the US, and illegal Albanians to Kosovo -- have created the same problems: no respect for their host country, violent organized crime, an enormous drain on public resources, complaints about "racism" while promoting their own "racism" against members of the host community, a birthrate that far exceeds that of their hosts -- and a claim that the land they live now live on is "really theirs and was stolen from them".
We bombed the Serbs to "save the Albanians", so who is going to "bomb us"?
Hmmmm - what do you suppose the response would be to a rally of white people marching down the street carrying "white power" posters?
I suppose by their logic I have the right to march back into the European countries of my descent and claim an inalienable, racially based "right" to live and work there, to burn their flag, to advocate overthrow of their government and to disregard their laws.
Yes, it does. And it seems that there is no "timit limit" -- Albanians are claiming to be "ancient Illyrians" and that is why they say it is "their land"!
I am an American Serb (born here) and a native Californian, which is why both of these issues break my heart.
I have always loved the Mexican influence here in CA and CA's recognition of it's Mexican heritage. I grew up around the fruit ranches in Fresno and the Santa Clara Valley (pre-Silicon Valley) and I have always felt for the Mexican migrant workers -- and respected those who were able to make a real life here in the next generations.
But this is something else -- this is political, not "racial" or "cultural". When I saw the realtime protests here in my area, Chicanos were carrying Mexican flags and posters saying that "California is Mexico!"
I kept thinking what's next? "Gringo, get out!"?
Vitomir Dolinski: An Interview with the Persecuted Albanian Academic Professor Dr. Kaplan Resuli-Burovich
The Albanian Racism Towards its Neighbours is Based on Historical Falsifications
Translated from Macedonian by Zhivko Apostolovski
From the Macedonian daily newspaper Vest - 25.02.2003
......They still continued with the tale that allegedly Albanians are autochthonous pelasgo-illyrian descendants. I discovered that by chance, studying the albanian language, which, all agree, is of the type SATEM. According to that global division of languages, researching the illyrian language I discovered that it is of the type KENTUM. The most elementary logic was saying to me that one SATEM language can not be a direct descendant, not even a kind of derivative of some KENTUM language, without a change of its substrate. Since the albanian language does not have any changes in its substrate, that means that the Albanians cant be, under any circumstance, genealogical descendants of the Illyrians. Later I discovered this, as well, in the works of the world renown professors and scholars Paul, Hirt, Vaigand, Tomashek, Georgiev, Puscariu and many others, who with numerous scholarly arguments, linguistic and historical, have proven that the Albanians not only do not have anything in common with the Illyrians, not only that they are not autochthonous at any place in the Balkan, but they are not even autochthonous in the territories of modern day Albania. ....The primary motive that inspired me to oppose the albanian pseudo science about their illyrian origin was the truth, the love for the truth, my special inclination towards it, but second and equally as important motive was the fact that, watching the Albanians being breast-fed with chauvinism and racism, are being encouraged to fight their neighbouring peoples (nations), I was hoping that if the truth is explained to them, they will move away from the tales, legends and myths about their autochthony and illyromania, thus ceasing with their inexcusable and baseless hatred towards their neighbours.
Not from a Serb or Macedonian source, but an Albanian one -- called the "Mandella of the Balkans".
Bless Sam Vankin for knowing a whole lot about Narcissistic Personality Disorder and quite a lot about Eastern European politics, but he's got his head up his butt on this one.
Who -- other than Albanians --say that Albanians are their "sole descendants"?
And the Illyrians were defeated by Rome in 219 BC! Just how far are we going to go back in history to settle ethnic grievances?
What, are the Neanderthals going to be lining up asking for "reparations" next?
Worse than that. We provided allies of Osama Bin Laden an air force for free...
The Kososvo muslims run the heroin trade in europe...
We provide a pressure relief valve for the corrupt Mexican oligarchy... The Mexicans in turn send billions in U.S. dollars back to Mexico- tax free of course...
The Mexican government is in bed with the Mexican drug cartels... who run their drug trade in the U.S.
Anyone see a pattern here ?
Yes, but waht do we do about it?
Here's the deal: The Mexican government wants veto power over U.S. immigration policy. Outrageously, many in our own government are assuming the Hyphenate-Fellate position and are only too happy to oblige, as long as there's votes and campaign contributions to be had.
The protestors--carrying Mexican flags---and the Mexican government share the same goals: legalize Mexican illegal aliens and keep the borders open. The Mexican government sees this as a way to relieve economic pressure on their government to reform the economy.
Mexico's leaders also work to retain the loyalty of the immigrant mobs so that, even if our laws allow them to become American citizens, they retain their loyalty to Mexico, and are subjects of the Mexican government.
In the Mexican Congress, it was recently announced that a document would be drafted, to show support for the protest marches in our country. The Mexican government published advertisements in leading American newspapers calling for the legalization of illegal immigrants (those in the United States, not in Mexico) and "a far-reaching guest workers scheme." Not only that, said the ads, but "in order for a US guest workers program to be viable, Mexico should participate in its design, management, supervision and evaluation."
Ruben Aguilar, spokesman for President Vicente Fox, made this statement to support the marches: "The recent protests carried out in different places in the United States are indicative of the imminent necessity of a migratory accord that corresponds to the interests of both countries, and that especially to the defense of the rights of migrants. The government of the (Mexican) Republic ratifies its commitment to the Mexicans who live in the United States and its intention to work in the defense of their rights ..."
EXHIBIT ONE: This is a direct violation of the Vienna Convention that prohbits foreign nationals from interferring in the political affairs of a host country. The Department of States legal affairs office has stated that foreigners on American soil interfering in the internal affairs of the US is inconsistent with the 1963 Vienna Convention that prohibits visiting foreigners from interferring in the affairs of host countries.
EXHIBIT TWO: Congress provided in the Civil Rights Act of 1866 declaring persons born in the US who are subject to a foreign power are deemed to be non-citizens of the United States. That means children of immigrants---anchor babies---and any other individuals born here---who are running around carrying Mexican flags, and following the orders of the Mexican government, are not considered US citizens under the 1866 US Civil Rights law.
But what kind of hypocrites do we look like to the world when we demand one thing for ourselves, but something else from another country in the same circumstance?
We look like idiot bullies!
Put the resources at work to stop or stem the flow...O'reilly has some good point, the House is trying but Tancredo is more on the money...
Where is General Noriega ?
.. dismantle the welfare state and stop the perversion of the 14th Amendment by judges...
Thanks, this piece was exactly what I had in mind but could not find my file. I'll relable this and put it where I can find it next time.
Something wrong with this picture. Charles Taylor, handcuffed and heading to the Hague for war crimes? Ceku is made prime minister and "pardoned" by Interpol, no less.
Now this is a Balkans thread that's relevant to Americans, how Clinton's suport of the terrorist KLA set a precedent that will be used against the United States.
But, I am told an "independent Kosovo" is going to happen within the next few months, unless we stop it.
It is amazing to me that the Internationals-- especially the Europeans -- can know that Kosovo has become a hub for al Qaeda (the Semtex used in the London and Madrid bombings came from there & they know it); it is a route for all the sex slavery and narcotics in Western Europe -- and still they are going to grant it "independence"!
This "independence" move is also going to sign the death warrants to all the remaining Serbs in Kosovo -- mostly old people, priests and nuns -- and no one seems to give a damn!
So much for our "humanitarian" instincts --this time we will be the "ethnic cleansers" -- and to our detriment!

It's about a Serb living in Kosovo talking to UN Envoy Marti Ahtisaari. I love

Serb hopes of own entity in Kosovo dashed
By Matthew Robinson
PRISTINA, Serbia and Montenegro (Reuters) - The United Nations on Thursday dashed Serb hopes of their own "entity" in Kosovo and issued a stark response to those threatening to leave if the Albanian majority wins independence.
"When told me they couldn't live in an independent Kosovo, if this is the outcome of the status process, I told them: This is your decision, we cannot force you to stay," Albert Rohan, the deputy U.N. envoy in negotiations on Kosovo's fate, told reporters in the capital Pristina.
The Austrian diplomat, who on Wednesday visited Serbs in the north, outlined an initial proposal for Kosovo's future governing structure, the fruit of the first two rounds of Serb-Albanian talks in Vienna.
He ruled out any form of separate entity or autonomy for the 100,000 remaining Serbs, as demanded by Belgrade:
"We made it clear that this does not mean and cannot mean the creation of a separate entity," he said.
"We oppose any internal division of Kosovo and we oppose any third layer of government between the central authority and the municipalities."
Rohan is deputy to U.N. envoy Martti Ahtisaari, who is leading negotiations on the fate of the disputed Serbian province, run by the United Nations since the 1998-99 war.
Western powers have made increasingly clear they see independence as the only realistic outcome. Kosovo's two million Albanians, 90 percent of the population, have long demanded their own state and have run their affairs since 1999.
But the Serb-dominated north has resisted U.N. efforts to reintegrate it with the rest of Kosovo, threatening the province with de facto partition.
SPLIT IN TWO
Serbia lost control of Kosovo -- its "Jerusalem" -- when NATO bombs drove out Serb forces accused of atrocities against Albanian civilians in a 2-year war with separatist guerrillas, the culmination of a decade of Serb repression.
Half the Serb population fled a wave of revenge attacks. Those who stayed eke out a grim existence on the margins of society, cocooned in a Belgrade-run world of "parallel structures" outside Kosovo's Albanian-dominated institutions.
The leaders of three mainly Serb municipalities in the north, which enjoy a natural land link to central Serbia, warned on Wednesday that Kosovo would be split in two if the U.N. Security Council grants independence later this year.
Many Serbs living in scattered enclaves across the rest of Kosovo say they will pack their bags and leave.
But partition, with implications of forced population movements, is a taboo concept in the West.
Rohan argued that the plan for decentralisation, the core of negotiations that began last month in Vienna, should provide the Serbs with enough local powers to convince them to stay.
The document allows for cooperation between Serb areas within Kosovo and financial donations from Belgrade.
"What we can do is to provide conditions where objectively we can expect the Serbs to stay and to come back," said Rohan, ahead of the next round of talks on April 3. "Whether they want to stay, to return, to leave, is their decision."
These Serb Christians have no choice but to leave. Because if this http://kosovo.com/news/archive/2005/March_17/1.html is what was allowed to happen right under the noses of an armed International Force, then what will happen when that Force is gone? A complete ethnice cleansing by the Muslim Albanians of all non-Alabanians!
".. dismantle the welfare state and stop the perversion of the 14th Amendment by judges..."
Won't happen. I was driving home from the library today watching all the Illegals crowding the streets and I got to thinking. They come here and take minimum wage jobs, bring their families up, get housing assistance, WIC, medical care and they don't pay a dime for it. They're stealing from the taxpayers directly and are busy pumping out another generation of leeches. We can't win like this. It's in the governments interest to continue the gravy train because it provides jobs for bureaucrats and power for politicians. We are well and truly slaves to the government.
And the govt. expects us to support all the illegals and THE WAR on terrorism as well.
ARE THEY CRAZY???
Yes, like a FOX!!
The USA fights terrorism in one place and gives it a BIG hand-up, someplace else.
THING IS... THE TERRORISTS THEY HELP ARE ALWAYS KILLING AND DISPLACING CHRISTIANS!! Like in Bosnia and KOSOVO!
The Serbs could drive the albanians into the sea in two weeks. Serb patriots should be stocking up just as American patriots should be doing.
Hey, I know who will bomb us...the Middle Eastern mujahedeen who helped our ALLIES, the Bosnian muslims back in the Yugoslavian civil war.
Hey,wait... they already did on 9/11. Osama's boys, the mujahadeen of Bosnia.
However, the UN and NATO went through Serbian homes with fine tooth combs in Kosovo and disarmed them. Even took their hunting rifles, I read on FR a few years back.
Why I read the soldiers even tore up Altars in the Serbian Orthodox Churches in Kosovo, manhandled the nuns, priests and monks in attempts to find ANY weapons.
NATO/UN FOUND ZERO!! NUTHIN'
Yes, and the Mexicans took it from the Indians who took it from the Dinosaurs. So what's the problem ?
An outrageous injustice has been done to reporter Sherrie Gossett!
CNS Reporter Sherry Gossett was abruptly fired -- not for "bad reporting" but rather for the controversy that her article Former NY Times Reporter: '93 Pulitzer Should Be Revoked http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewSpecialReports.asp?Page=%5CSpecialReports%5Carchive%5C200603%5CSPE20060322a.html has created within the journalistic and government community!
This article "angered a government official", so Sherry lost her job! By firing Sherry, both our government and the journalistic community are telling her and us that they will not be questioned -- that they are beyond being questioned!
George Orwell created a vision of a "Big Brother", an all-seeing, all-controlling government and media in his novel "1984". Well, folks, "1984" is happening in 2006!
When we are no longer afforded a truly free press, when we are no longer allowed to read dissenting views, or present dissenting views without fear of reprisals, then WE ARE NO LONGER A FREE PEOPLE!
This cannot go unanswered! Here is the toll-free phone number listed for CNS News: 877-CNS-NEWS. Call them and voice your opinion on the firing of Sherry Gossett. Every moment you stay on the line, you costs them money and Sherry deserves our support!
Hey,wait... they already did on 9/11. Osama's boys, the mujahadeen of Bosnia.
Delete the Previous information re Sherry Gossett & CNS. I am told that the information is not accurate.
Uh, Bokababe, the situations are not comparable. The Serbs under Milosevic changed their constitution and took away self-rule in Kosovo--the equivalent of what we have at the state level, removed Albanian mayors & judges & police and replaced them with Serbs--often from outside the province, shut down Albanian language newspapers, fired Albanian workers & again put Serbs in their places, arbitrarily imprisoned Albanian political leaders and protestors for years at a time, and closed Albanian schools & fired Albanian teachers.
Then when some of the Albanians had enough and began fighting back, the Serbs predictably over-reacted with their typical (if you paid attention to Bosnia and Croatia) burning of villages and disregard for civilian casualties. Also, predictably, the heavy-handed Serb tactics turned a minor insurgency into a full-blown, popularly supported war of liberation.
When the US government removes legitimately elected and appointed Hispanic officials, when our soldiers surround Hispanic populated villages in California and fire tank rounds into them, when we change our Constitution to emplace direct federal rule over Arizona and New Mexico, then you can start comparing how Serbia treated Kosovo with the USA.
Before the NATO Bombing, dead on all sides in Kosovo, including the soldiers on both sides, never exceeded a few thousand.
And you do not consider that the Clinton strong-arming countries for a 78 day bombing of Yugoslavia, spending billions to do it, "an overeaction"?
We invaded a sovereign country! And now, to justify it, we are about to dismember it to give away Kosovo to friends of bin Laden, narco-terrorist sex-slavery pushing Albanian Mafia -- creating a new Muslim country in Europe!
Want to tell me how that is in the US' "best interests"?
It isn't. We got boondoggled and we are trying to cover it up, slitting our own throat to do it!
Anyone who thinks this is over, is foolish. First Kosovo, then a piece of Macedonia, then more of Serbia and Montenegro to connect them to Muslim Bosnia, then a piece of Greece -- a perfect place from which to launch Jihad on Europe!
Actually less, about 2,000.
And you do not consider that the Clinton strong-arming countries for a 78 day bombing of Yugoslavia, spending billions to do it, "an overeaction"?
All the countries in NATO from Greece & Turkey to Iceland and Canada voted unanimously for the use of force three times, twice in 1998 and the last time in 1999--didn't take much "strong-arming." They all had seen what happened at Srebrenica and understood the costs of not acting early to stop Serbian ethnic cleansing. Having said that, I still think we could have negotiated a better solution than bombing--but the story of how the Clinton Administration bungled Rambouillet is pretty well known.
As for Kosovo as "a new Muslim country in Europe", enough already with the Serb propaganda! Albanian Catholic churches were damaged during the war also, but the people doing the damage were Serb soldiers and paramilitaries--does that mean that the Serbs are jihadists? or anti-Christian?
The conflict was a fight for liberty by the Kosovo Albanians that was rooted in long-term nationalistic antagonisms between Serbs and Albanians. BTW, here's a photo from last year of the elected Christian President of Kosovo helping lay the cornerstone for a Christian cathedral in Kosovo:
Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova lays the foundation stone for the Mother Teresa Cathedral in Pristina on Friday (26 August). The cathedral marks the 95th anniversary of Mother Teresas birth. Rugova was joined by Kosovo Diocese head Father Mark Sopi and Washington Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. [Laura Hasani]
Enough already with the Albanian propaganda! The jig is up, Mark -- people are waking up to the real world now.
Over 90% of Kosovo Albanians are Muslim, period -- and not one respectable source denies that. Only about 60,000 in an area of 2,000,000 are Roman Catholic and there are some Albanian Orthodox -- but that does not change the 90+% Muslim number, which makes the statement "a new Muslim country in Europe" quite accurate.
Re "strong-arming NATO allies to bomb Serbia". I was in Greece right after the NATO Bombing and was repeatedly told wherever we went that Greeks were protesting in the streets against the NATO Bombing of Serbia-- until Madeline Albright threatened to have a State Department "warning" recommending "against travel to Greece". Greece's economy is based almost completely on tourism and such a "State Department warning" could have collapsed the entire economy of Greece, so they gave in and gave up -- but not without passively sabotaging NATO forces wherever they could. Friends in Italy told the same story of riots and protests, but the media virtually ignored it. That is "strong-arming", no matter how you package it.
Muslim objections to erecting the statue -- until they realized its PR value. Now she is even on stamps! http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1605980/posts
