Scott Peterson's family offers $250,000 for Laci's "real killer"

Scott Peterson's family said Friday it will offer a $250,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the murder of his pregnant wife.

Peterson was convicted of killing Laci Peterson and the couple's unborn child on Christmas Eve 2002 and is on death row at San Quentin State Prison. He has always maintained his innocence.

The family is offering the reward for "specific information leading to an arrest and conviction for the abduction and murder of Laci and Conner Peterson, or for specific information leading to the exoneration and release of Scott Peterson," according to a press release.

"All of us remain deeply committed to Scott's innocence and to finding Laci's real killer," Lee Peterson, Scott Peterson's father, said in the statement.

The family has offered rewards before - for Laci Peterson's safe return and later for her body. Laci Peterson's body and the tiny corpse of her unborn son were found on the shore of San Francisco Bay months after she disappeared.

it was not Carter. His second conviction in the murder case was thrown out by a sympathetic judge. NJ could have tried him a third time, but chose not to (too much money, too long ago, witnesses dead).

OJ plays golf. Scott played golf. Both claimed to be innocent. The only problem is only one of them went into jail for killing their wives.
If the parents are living in that much denial.I feel sorry for them. But they really need to move on.

Maybe Scott can find the killer while snorkeling in the Bahamas, skiing in Aspen, climbing the alps, playing at Vegas, watching Nascar, going to baseball games, working out at the gym, shopping for groceries, etc. You never know what you might learn.

OK. Make it $250 gazillion. I'm sure Stanislaus County appreciates their skipping out on the money the indigent Scott P cost them, while the Petersons are living in Fantasyland playing with Monopoly money.
