Hillary's no shoo-in with this crowd
LATimes ^ | 4/4/06 | Tina Daunt

Depending on whom you talk to in Hollywood these days, Hillary Clinton is either too conservative, too polarizing, too famous, too stiff or — keep this to yourself! — too sexy.

And those are just the opinions of the celebrities who vote Democrat. (Don't even ask what the few Republicans had to say.)

We're going to be bombarded with these Hillary's no lock for the Dem nominee right up until she sweeps super Tuesday. Then the MSM will do an about face and run stories how she's united the Dems behind her.

I really don't care what any celebrities have to say about her.

I REALLY don't care about any celebrities who think she is "too sexy".

"too sexy"

Sounds like they polled some people with a masochistic complex.

IT was Sharon Stone, she thinks she should wait until she is older to run for President, people might get distracted by her "Sexuality".

Judging by the box office for her new movie, Basic Instinct 2, no one is listening to her anyway.

George Clooney
Kathleen Turner
Madonna
Susan Sarandon
Sharon Stone *snort*
Elton John
Billy Joel

These are the "celebs" mentioned in this article. When is the last time any one of these people was relevant? Or even had a hit? Tina's title should have been, "Has-beens Comment on Hillary".

But, he said, ultimately the criticism has no "practical impact." "They still give her money," Carrick said.

Hillary! has collected so much money, she has to be the Donk candidate in 2008. That is the only way to spend that kind of money, and nobody else has two nickels to rub together.

Congress should pass a law this Spring that allows any candidate who loses an election for Congress in 2006 to convert any remaining campaign funds to personal use. That would allow Hillary! to take all those hundred of millions of dollars, and retire to Barbados or something.

It would be amusing to watch Hillary! trying to lose against whomever the pathetic NY Republicans decide to run against her for Senate. She would have to pee on the floor Live on Meet the Press in order to get NY Donks to vote against her.

Speaking of Stone ...

1ST-CLASS MOM

THERE'S a good reason why Sharon Stone had a first-class seat last Friday flying from New York to Los Angeles while her 9-month-old son, Laird, sat in coach with his nanny. "First class was sold out," a spokeswoman explained. "She tried to get them seats in first class but couldn't, and she didn't want them on a separate plane." Stone - whose "Basic Instinct 2" was savaged by critics and grossed a paltry $3.2 million its opening weekend - did venture back among the hoi polloi to visit her tot and to tell the nanny to keep him in his seat, for safety's sake, even if he wailed - which he did.

She's also doing a very effective job of eliminating the Iowa caucuses and the NH primary as the first runs of the primary season by making sure that a number of DemonRat states have their primaries on the same date. That will reduce her exposure to real people and enable her to run a media heavy campaign that should shut out any other candidates. It will also keep her from being exposed to the leftward pull exerted by the moonbat left electorates of Iowa and NH.

9 months old? If he was wailing, why didn't she bring him up to her sumptuous seat for a while during the flight? I'm sure he would have been much more comfortable up there. She could have returned him to his seat, for the landing.

He was wailing when he saw her, perhaps?

Good grief... guess she just can't be bothered with her own child? How come the nanny couldn't have had the 1st class seat and mom and child sit together?

Off topic: WHEN will we get to see a woman in Hollyweird age NATURALLY?

I read the article. Sharon Stone, a celebrity well known for her superior intellect (I hear she displayed it for Michael Douglas in BI#1 - I never saw the film) thinks Bush was voted in by people who thought he would make a good drinking buddy. Sharon also blesses us with the observation that Hillary has too much sexual power (typist had to pause here to make use of a nearby trash can for breakfast containment). Madonna thinks it is too soon for a woman to run because men are afraid of women, and women don't trust women.

As a man, I am not at all afraid of women or a woman president (run Condi - PLEASE!!!). What I am afraid of is a country run by people aligned with these kinds of attitudes and this appalling level of ignorance.

Only people who don't have and have never had lots of money think people are motivated by money.

Once one gets over 30 million dollars money is no longer a factor. Thirty million will buy all the creature comforts. Someone with a billion doesn't live any better than someone with 30 million.

About that level of wealth the only think money is good for is to buy power. The clintons have no need for more money. What they want is power.

Since Bill left office he has been making money at about the rate of $40,000.00 a day. Hillary got 10 million on a book deal.

You think the Clintons want money. They already have more money than they can spend. What they want is power.
