After we vote they do their business as usual until the next election cycle. But right now they are sweating.They should be. Somehow the message has to get across: Either work for us American citizens under the tenants of the Constitution or get fired.

LMAO @your profile page!
I haven't had that much fun since Stellar Dendrite was here.

Someone has to make a profile page devoted to that idiotic windbag, Blackelk.

Another laugher in the U.S. Senate is:
"It's a crime to build a tunnel under the U.S. border."
I wonder how this law will be enforced?

You're not alone.
When I heard that pscyhotic scumbag John McLame say that he had made progress towards a "compromise" on "comperhensive" immigration "reform" I almost blew my stack.
I just heard Coburn on Savage yesterday, and it looks as if our brave, conservative senators are going weak in the knees and aren't going to even attempt a filibuster.
:(

Yes, unfortunately.
It makes me sick when I think of how the cheap labor/corporate interests-and their willing accomplices among fifth columnist, pseudo-conservative trators like the Wall St. Journal editorial page-sabatoged the presidential ambitions of Pete Wilson.
Believe me, if he had been nominated he would have not only beaten Bubba-like a rented mule-we would not even be having this discussion today.

What brave, conservative senators? Coburn has never been a barnburner on immigration. I can't think of a Senator who has, which is why we can expect to have the House either force enforcement upon them or have no bill passed this year.

It's a shame, but you're right.
Aside from Sessions-and maybe Inhofe-I can't think of any myself.
However, some progress is being made.
If there really are enough votes to prevent cloture-again, I doubt that there are, but hope springs eternal-then we are moving in the right direction, if nothing else.
We need to start eliminating these senators one by one, election by election, so that the amount of OBLs is outweighed by our side.
First things first, destroy McCain in the primaries, which shouldn't be too difficult.
Then, on to his Mini-Me, Lyndsay "Goober" Graham.

I think an even bigger problem is welfare fraud through fake ID's........what I'd really like to know is how these gov't. agencies can verify acutally who they're dealing with when signing these people up for the goodies. These matricula cards can be easily created and if they're an accpetable ID there's no telling under how many names someone can get welfare.
To: Smartass
Those cards need to be rescinded in my opinion. They make the illegal "feel" legal, and that's not right! They want more "rights" than we have! And they're getting them because our lawmakers have wussed out!
Thanks for the ping.

You're welcome.
City Journal is probably my favorite public policy journal.
They have copies of the quarterly at my local branch of the BPL, but for anyone who lives outside of New York City they can read an entire issue online, for free.

In my opinion, the Mexican people and their government have done as much damage to this country as:
* Pearl Harbor,
* Korea,
* Vietnam,
* All attacks leading up to, including 9-11,
* And the war for Aztlan has just begun!
