Oh, btw, the route was selected even before Mitch came into office.

Yes, I did know that. But he was clear that he supported the decision to steal people's houses to build a new terrain highway to Mexico.

In other words the equivalent of a blank check to whatever Democrat is running.

The old "if you don't vote for our crappy candidate, you've voted democrat!" lie. You aren't going to blackmail people into voting that way any more. A vote for the libertarian is a vote for the libertarian. You don't own the libertarian vote. You just get it sometimes when you run a candidate who isn't a flaming statist.

It's simple arithmetic.

If ample numbers of people do as you intend to do, then the Democrats WILL run Indiana again.

As I said, if your conscience doesn't bother you, fine. Personally, I think turning the state back over to the Dems over an issue as silly as DST is unconscionable.

Well, sometimes its the big things, sometimes its the little things.

I suggest you get on the horn to the state party leaders and let them know that they screwed the pooch.

If DST is as trivial and silly a thing as you say it is, then there should be no problem repealing it. Is it really that important to hang on to DST and lose the statehouse? What gets me about it is: we were already on year round DST! So why would Ditch Daniels mess with it when as 68skylark pointed out, had many more important issues to deal with?

I've plugged my nose to vote for Daniels-esque candidates far too often for one lifetime. If there's a candidate I agree with more, that's where my vote is going. That's how it's supposed to work, not this team mentality.

Daniels is strong on some of your core issues, so if you're happy with him, then I think it's a great idea for you to vote for him again. Believe me, I'm not trying to convince you not to.
