've had a recurring experience in the last few months. I'll be reading some geopolitical tract like Sands Of Empire: Missionary Zeal, American Foreign Policy, and the Hazards Of Global Ambition by Robert W. Merry, and two-thirds of the way in I'll stumble across: "With the onset of the Iraq War and European opposition, many Americans embraced a severe anti-European attitude. 'To the list of polities destined to slip down the Eurinal of history,' wrote Mark Steyn in the Jewish World Review, 'we must add the European Union and France's Fifth Republic.' "

I refuse to believe that.If the United States could give Carter the boot and reject socialism, Europe can too. Europe needs a Reagan. It's just a question of whether the people of Europe will get tired of the tar pit they're in before they drown in it.
And, if even Murray's too much, go back to the granddaddy of them all -- Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Recounting the Muslim march on France 1,300 years ago, Gibbon writes:

Having been to Europe most Europeans will either leave or quietly hope the Muslims will have Mercy. The average European male has been so feminised that the few child-bearing European women will gravitate to the more agressive muslim even if they trat them like beast.All the best European males were killed off in WW2

All I know is that if Europe calls, we'd be foolish to ignore their pleas for help. One because I really enjoy watching the US kick Muslim ass; and two because what befalls Europe will eventually befall the US.
Canada will host muslims in cross border attacks on America in the future.....they have the same mentality as Europe

I'm not sure I understand your attack on the newbie. His post says exactly what Richard Miniter said in his latest book, "Disinformation". Our Canadian border is a much bigger Muslim threat than our Southern border (which is certainly a threat of a different kind.)

I say stick a gun in their hands and force them to fight for their future. We'll back them with airpower, kind of like the Iraqi Army. I don't know though...they may not want to be saved.

I spent three years, complements of Uncle Sam, in England in the mid-80s. It used to amaze me how, in the square of most little towns and villages there would be a monument to the men of that town or village that died in The Great War. The names of the local fallen, as often as not, were inscribed somewhere on the monument. What was particularly stunning was the sheer number of those names, given the size of the town or village.
France, too, had amazing casualty rates in World War One. As did Germany.
I think that Ground forces will be needed....not enough young european males willing to fight and not enough even born.
but they are all elderly....the muslims are out reproducing at an astonishing rates thanks to welfare....wonder when they do away with the host?

I saw children, but I was dating the headmistress (effectively, a Principal) of a local public (a misnomer - actually this means private) school.
Let's not pity nor condemn Europe because we have an ever growing tar pit and growing civil unrest that unless rectified will swallow us whole.
Europe has gone through many upheavals throughout history and are more inclined to survive while we as nation have had only one major internal conflict (Civil War) but the make up of our nation is so much more diverse now and being pulled apart by a variety of foreign allegiances that when the sh*t hits the fan, we are liable to splinter in so many pieces that it will not be possible to reassemble one viable union spanning the continent.
We as a nation lack the maturity of the ages. We even lack the wisdom in electing true world class statesmen to lead our country.

They are well on the way to doing that. They elected a conservative PM and have boots on the ground in Afghanistan.
They are just like the US. The cities are full of liberals, but out in the red provinces like Alberta there is a great host of hardened men who aren’t intimidated by anyone.

What girls that were there were quite nice.
Both books are somewhat overwrought -- Berlinski dwells on her own relationship with some Muslim lad who later figured in Zadie Smith's hit novel White Teeth, and Bruce Bawer is reluctant to give up on the idea that a bisexual pothead hedonist utopia is a viable concept rather than, as it's proving in the Netherlands, a mere novelty interlude; his book might have been better called While Europe Slept Around.

The only question about Europe is whether it's going to be (a) catastrophically bad or (b) apocalyptically bad, as in head for the hills, here come the Four Horsemen: Death (the self-extinction of European races too self-absorbed to breed), Famine (the withering of unaffordable social programs), War (civil strife as the disaffected decide to move beyond mere Citroën-torching), and Conquest (the inevitable victory of the Muslim successor population already in place). I'd say option (b) looks the better bet, for a few if not all Continental nations: united they'll fall, but divided, a handful might stand a chance.
