It shows that Saddam regime is not only a supporter of terrorism but it is also a TERRORITST REGIME.

She is well known and

Just a translation note:

You can use Suicide Act instead of Suicide Mission they are both the same in this case.

Indeed Laurie Mylroie has a translator working this. Poor JV gets no credit. It's referenced on Captain's Quarters and Powerline.

Even though I've contacted those sites a week ago about JV's dutiful translations AND my interview with him.

Now I don't suppose it's no mind as long as the word gets out. But I'd sure like to see the personable and handsome JV get some credit. I bet Mylroie's guy is getting paid while JV labors alone and appreciated only on FreeRepublic.

Beyond that, just for giggles and grins, compare JV's translation with the one done by Mylroie's guy. They're close enough for me.

these idiots don't get it. we aren't living in an age of mysticism where people can be awed and intimidated by this kind of assymetric warfare. It's like the neaderthal idiots in Iraq and elsewhere who thought we'd be intimidated by their decapitation and head on the back stuff. Like we are afraid our souls won't get to heaven so we won't fight. What planet are these chumps from? 6th century methods of intimidation aren't effective today. they will just steel resolve and piss people off with the first suicide bombing that happens.

Sorry Iran, you lose. (unless you get the bomb)

Nope Mr. Negroponte.... there is nothing here, just tidbits that may be historically interesting, but nothing more.... /BOGGLE

I'm still curious as to the REAL reason these were held for YEARS while the entire MSM and GLOBAL media continually assert the opposite in their reporting.

That is all Right Pat. I would like to see Free Republic get the credit and I do not want my name to be mentioned at all as long as FR is mentioned. By the way Captain' Quarters copied my translation and it is not from Mylroie translation. I know this because "Suicide Mission" in my translation is also in his post, other Arabic translators will probably translate it from the Arabic document as "Suicide Act" now they are basically the same and does not make a difference at all between "Suicide Mission" and "Suicide Act".

Also in my translation I realized that I have made minor spelling error in the name of one of the document authors as I wrote “Majed” instead it should be "Majeed" or "Majid" for the name of the second author on the document and Captain Qaurters has exactly the same spelling error.

Anyway you are right, the important fact is to have this very important document comes out :)

GREAT NEWS JV/FREEPERS!!!

Below the text of the email I received from the Captain himself! Only 2005's Blogger of the Year, btw.

The good Captain responds as a result of a comment I posted.

So since he wanted me to pass the news....here tis. Congrats JV.

The link to the Capt's post on the Mylroie translation is upthread but y'all know how to get to Captquarters, right?

--------------

Pat, I'm breaking my rule and adding an update while at work in order to get JV some credit for the work he's doing at Free Republic. If you know how to reach him, please let him know I'm doing this, and send my apologies. Thank you!! Ed

Now, fishtalk stated you were personable and handsome. Can we get proof of this?

Seriously JV, Captain's Quarters will get bitten by pulling stunts like that. They RSS some real serious bloggers and they don't miss tricks like that. That is deliberate misdirection of traffick and it will be remembered.

Dear Lord...I got a pic and everything!

HERE....Interview with JV!

Pat Fish.....standing over in the corner jabbering her tongue and proud that she was the first citizen journalist that recognized this amazing story.

Like I so-stated in another comment....for three years every talk show in America has been busily discussing lies. While I can't anybody to talk for ten minutes about the translated truth.

That is all Right Pat. I would like to see Free Republic

You see JV...that was how I structured the writing of my interview with you. It was why I mentioned that whole incident re the error on FreeRepublic that day. I planned it that way!

Because in my silly mind, the release of these documents on the internet is historic, and so is the dutiful translation by dedicated citizens. So I wanted to tell the tale of how you made a typing error, how the moderators corrected it, how the comments referencing the typing error were removed.

I think it showed how seriously both YOU and the FreeRepublic web site were treating this matter.

Ah....oh well. I'm just a humble blogger but I been on this forum for almost five years now. I thought the manner in which FreeRepublic kept these translations in the Breaking News Section was perfect.

But JV you're just a real nice guy. The world could use more nice guys. It was a pleasant interview wasn't it?

Just remember me when your a Fox News anchor someday. ;)

"This a very important document, and I really hope it will get out."
Let us hope your efforts will bear good fruit. To many blogs are picking up on this stuff. Surely others in a position such as yours, who read/write Arabic will pick up the ball in the coming months.
Eventually the L/MSM will have to cave in. Then again, they can simply continue to ignore it, because their viewers are mostly un-aware of these things. But don't let that stop you from your honorable efforts.

So far as I know it's an ordinary humble blog at Blogspot. He has a link to the interview I think but beyond that, it's just an ordinary blog.

I do comment on Capt's a lot as I think he the best writer on the Internet. Better than me even. And I put links to the interview in my comment...so, the long and short of it...I dunno.

"I think the case for accurately accusing Saddam of having very heavy ties to all classes of World Terrorists is reaching Critical Mass."
Sure is looking that way. It was nice to see the captain make reference to jveritas's efforts. He could be the next butthead .
Perhaps the signifcance is not apparent. But I wonder how many Americans and Europeans, and the rest of the world for that matter, remember the L/MSM freely admitting prior to OIF, that the Butcher paid the families of Palestinian nut cases to blow themselves up along with their Jewish victims.
So this info thought quite important to spread around should not come as a shock to anyone. It was so matter of factly accepted prior to the Iraqi War, that he offered rewards for terrorist acts.

Sorry but I have no time or sympathy for those who weep about "losing hope" because they do not get 100% of what they want and 0% of what they don't want in politics. Life is compromise. Politics is no different. Deal with it.

I'm not looking for sympathy. Just saying it like it is for me. Your other statement is just a leap. I think you missed my points entirely and I'm sorry you felt you needed to attack me for having a different point of view than you. That was never my intention. Have a lovely day.

It was very clear in the Arabic document.

They refer to them in the letter as those who desire to volunteer for "Al AA'mal Al Feeda'ee Al Intihari" to liberate Palestin and to strike the America interests

AL AA'mal: The Act or the Mission.

Al Intihari= Suicidal

Al Feeda'ee = Some who sacrifices himself, i.e. Suicide. I am sure you heard about Feedeyeen which is derived from Feeda'ee

2002, April. Saddam Hussein increases from $10,000 to $25,000 the money offered to families of Palestinian homicide bombers. The rules for rewarding homicide bombers are strict and insist that only someone who blows himself up with a belt of explosives gets the full payment. Payments are made on a strict scale, with different amounts for wounds, disablement, death as a “martyr” and $25,000 for a suicide bomber. Mahmoud Besharat, a representative on the West Bank who is handing out to families the money from Saddam, said, “You would have to ask President Saddam why he is being so generous. But he is a revolutionary and he wants this distinguished struggle, the intifada, to continue." Baghdad also trains Palestine Liberation Front members in small arms and explosives.

2002, September 5. An editorial in the Iraqi newspaper “Al-Iqtisadi”, which is owned by Saddam Hussein's eldest son Uday, called for the formation of suicide [fidaiyoon] squads to launch broad-based sabotage operations against the United States, its friends, and interests.

It is well documented that under Saddam, Iraq had training facilities for terrorists. Such facilities even included an aircraft for training terrorists how to hijack planes. Saddam's was no people friendly regime.
