I am told that basically five Republican senators were holed up last night trying to put together some sort of face-saving compromise. Those senators are McCain, Hagel, Specter, Mel Martinez and Frist, and the other Republican senators had no idea what they were doing. The initial bill that came out of this committee was 500 pages long, and they're trying to push it through today without anybody having had a chance to read it. That's why you're seeing stories that Republicans are prepared to filibuster their own bill. Yes. Republicans are preparing to filibuster this thing if it comes up for a vote, because they don't know what's in it and they weren't included in the hole in the wall gang that was working on this last night to put this together.

So you look who worked this out: McCain, Hagel, Specter, Martinez and Frist. You have to ask: Where was George Allen in this meeting? Where was Jon Kyl in this meeting? Where was John Cornyn, George Allen? Where was Jeff Sessions in this meeting? Where were some of these other Republican senators? As I said at the opening of the program, I am as big a cynic when it comes to elected officials as anybody. I don't know that I have ever seen anything like this. Security is secondary. The rule of law is secondary. All these clowns are doing is blatantly buying votes by making more citizens here.

Here is what I wrote to my RINO senator (Martinez):

"I have never been so disappointed in my life in my party. Your compromise with the democrats is amnesty and is a spineless move! I am so tired of being a Republican this year; so tired of supporting spineless men and women that hold the majority of both chambers of congress, as well as the presidency, but act as if they are a small minority backed into a corner. I can't believe that my Senator abandoned a conservative principle (rule of law) for a bunch of thugs that tore our flag down and replaced it with a Mexican flag.

I, along with almost everybody I've blogged with or heard on talk radio today, am going to boycott the 2006 election to teach our party a lesson about how important its base is. I won't vote for a liberal, no matter what party he or she belongs to. This goes for my wife as well.
Thank you and have a good day,
Brandon and Danielle Kerr"

I view election day my once-every-two-year holiday. I love it more than Christmas! But, this year, I will sit this one out. I will not vote for liberals, no matter what party they're in.

We need to solve this problem ourselves.

Those who have to compete with illegals, including businesses that only hire citizens and the citizen workers themselves, need to sue the illegal alien hiring businesses because they are stealing from the legitimate workers and businesses.

Juries will realize this and the illegal enterprises will be destroyed and the legitimate enterprises will be compensated.

Clearly those "working women" in D.C. pander for votes rather than stand up for COMMON SENSE immigration policies.

I think the only way they'll give us the time of day is for us real Americans to take to the streets and demand integrity from our elected representatives.

They can either represent us or get the hell out of the way!

Republicans owe their electoral success more to their opposition than their own accomplishments.

What wrong with everyone?

Why shouldn't citizenship be given to those that came here for a better life?

The illegal today is no different than the tens of thousands of Europeans that came here BEFORE the nation was born.

They didn't know the USA from shinola because like the Fed Ex cavenman commercial, it was invented yet.

IMO, they are the kind of self starting get off your a$$ citizen you want living next door.

THAT'S compassionate conservatism boys and girls. And it's the only chance to come away without handing the democratic party the entire 20 million as a voting bloc.

Why the indignation? Why is everyone putting their nose out of joint against the immigrants? Do you blame the children when the parents are idiots?

For whatever reason, [economy] both parties thought it best to not only consciously not enfore the existing laws but to leave the doors wide open for business...pun intended.

I can't speak for the entire 20 MILLION (11 million ..yeah riight)but the dozens of families that I've encountered didn't come here for handouts. They work their butts off.

And love every bit of it.

Yes, I am a damned Capitalist. And I personally thank President Bush for giving us a 5 year boom...saving millions of people from having to wait for the 1st of the month once they retire.

Screw social security. Their homes have trebled in value.

Everyone should lighten up and welcome the ones here....but goodness sake LOCK THE DOORS!

You can count my wife and I on your side. I've voted a straight Republican ticket since the first election that brought Reagan in as President. We will be staying home for the election this year. Dubya and the entire Bush family, and the many, many RINOs in Congress are so wrong on immigration. I'm afraid Bush is just too soft for the issues we face today: GWOT including illegals on our own borders.

The Roman Senate is once again doing a fine job destroying Rome. If we have a terrorist attack that kills many Americans, and we learn that these terrorist had simply walked across our southern border, these Roman Senators will be responsible.

Yeah...feel sorry for me.

I'm not the one threatening to boycott an election over a perceived slight.

Because nobody cared about my crazed indignation about illegal aliens living among us.

With both federal and state approval and complicity...i might add.

What have they done to you? Have they compromised you in any way in your attempt to better your life?

Just last week the GOP called me for more money and I yelled at the guy to stop calling because I'm no longer part of the GOP !

He was suprised when I told him I hope the Rats win in November so the GOP can act like the GOP again !

These people think we will vote for them because they're quaking their boots. I don't think they know the real meaning of fear.

As you ramble on through life brother, whatever be your goal....keep your eye upon the donut and not upon the hole.

It's a shame you can't get past this.
