AUSTIN, April 6, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) Ebola, a form of hemorrhagic fever in which the internal organs of the victim liquefy, has one of the highest rates of fatality of any known contagious disease at approximately 80-90% and is one of the most contagious diseases known to medical science. It is also high on the list of possible bio-terror weapons of concern to international law enforcement and military security agencies. Tom Clancys thriller novel, Rainbow Six describes a group of radical environmentalists that wants to rid the world of people using a modified version of Ebola.
All of which is why the FBI is interested in talking to Texas ecologist and herpetologist, Dr. Eric R. Pianka, who suggested at a meeting of the Texas Academy of Sciences that an airborne version of Ebola that would wipe out 90% of the human population was the solution to the human overpopulation problem.
This week, Pianka has been in the Texas media saying that he was not advocating bio-terrorism, but also told the Austin Statesman that he is meeting with local FBI officials in response to complaints that he is advocating biological terrorism.
Someone has reported me as a terrorist, he said. They think I'm forming a cadre of people to release the airborne Ebola virus into the air. That I'm the leader and my students are the followers.
On the day he was named by the Academy as 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist, Pianka declared that AIDS was not killing off the surplus human population fast enough. What is needed, he said, is Ebola to kill 5.8 billion of the worlds 6 billion plus humans. The speech received a prolonged standing ovation at the Academys annual meeting at Lamar University in Beaumont.
The Seguin Gazette quotes Pianka saying, Every one of you who gets to survive has to bury nine.
[Disease] will control the scourge of humanity, Pianka said in his March 3 speech. We're looking forward to a huge collapse. He said, We've grown fat, apathetic and miserable, and described the world as a fat, human biomass.
The syllabus for one of Piankas courses reads, Although [Ebola Zaire] Kills 9 out of 10 people, outbreaks have so far been unable to become epidemics because they are currently spread only by direct physical contact with infected blood
Ebola Reston, is airborne, and it is only a matter of time until Ebola Zaire evolves the capacity to be airborne.
The speech was first reported by popular science and computer writer, Forrest Mims III on the website of the Citizen Scientist. Mims said he was concerned that in this age of international security tensions, fertile young minds, might take Piankas assertions as suggestions.
One class evaluation for one of Piankas courses shows the enthusiasm with which his ideas are received by fertile young minds. Two quoted by the Seguin Gazette read, the most incredible class I ever had and Pianka is a GOD!
After the talk, student blogger, Brenna McConnell, who attended the Academy talk wrote, Hes basically advocating for the death for all but 10 percent of the current population. And at the risk of sounding just as radical, I think hes right.
To the possibility that someone would actually go with the idea, Pianka said, Good terrorists would be taking [Ebola Reston and Ebola Zaire] so that they had microbes they could let loose on the Earth that would kill 90 percent of people.

Tom Clancys thriller novel, Rainbow Six describes a group of radical environmentalists that wants to rid the world of people using a modified version of Ebola. Senile b@$t@rd has confused his ideology with a Tom Clancy novel, I suspect. This prof is no spring chicken, and has been in the same position for 38 years. He's ready for the rubber classroom.
He said, We've grown fat, apathetic and miserable, and described the world as a fat, human biomass.
We're not fat and apathetic. We are, as a country, preparing for the Apocalypse. God himself will give in before he can starve us into submission.

The speech received a prolonged standing ovation at the Academys annual meeting at Lamar University in Beaumont. The whole "Academy" and perhaps Lamar University should be under very close scrutiny by the FBI as well as Homeland Security officers. I see references to his "courses" in the article but no reference to an institution where they are offered. Maybe an even more widespread terror alert is in order.

Wow the Q&A part is frightening.
this question is particularly scary:
QUESTIONER: I had a similar point. What can we do to correct this problem? It's, it all has to come from policy level because of the way human society is structured when the governments represent people.
One thing is for sure....we can never, ever let the liberals come to power.
--snip-- PIANKA:But I asked a reproductive physiologist years ago about this. I said, Could you design a molecule that you could administer once that would bind to the DNA to turn off reproduction and make people sterile? And he said, yeah, theoretically. And I said, well, if you did that could you design an antidote that would unmask it just briefly for as few seconds? And he said, yeah, probably. So this is what we need. We need to sterilize everybody on the Earth [laughter] and make the antidote freely available to anybody whos willing to work for it.

And the left is worried about the Christians preparing for the Apocalypse?? Gee, I wonder what would give Conservatives and Christians in general the idea that someone is trying to kill off large portions of Humanity??? Maybe the left should, for once, look in a mirror and see the monsters that they are.
Asking too much, I know.

They do seem fascinated with killing. They seem to love to kill anyone who cannot defend themselves from the unborn; to the old and infirmed; to disarmed civilians fearing roving bads of thugs and dictatorial governments; to civilians (also disarmed) dying in genocides; to spreading diseases intent on wiping out BILLIONS of innocent people.
Yeah, being called a "baby-killer" by these fools lost its bite years ago.

To: wagglebee
Having read his web page just now I agree with 50% of what he is saying. The just of it is the Human populations and all species on earth tend to get hit with a plague that corrects the over population. A close study of these past plagues as shown they end before we are able to do anything to stop them. The last example was polio, the vaccine did not get introduced until long after the decline had already started, lagging about 2 years by the time enough kids had the vaccine it had already gone away. Skunks do this every 10 years or so, they suddenly have an outbreak of rabies usually after a drought when what ever they eat is short vs the population. Texas is having a rabies outbreak now. Scientist can not explain what triggers these plagues other than they tend to follow stress on a population. The problem in Mexico is the use of Antibiotics and Catholic religion that prevents birth control has caused every family to have larger number of kids who all survive. My grandmother in 1920 had 6 kids and only 2 lived to be adults, most died of some thing or another all that can be treated by medicine today. No economy can absorb a birth of 8 kids for every 2 workers non stop. So Fox ships them all to the USA as illegal Mexicans, suddenly we have 12 million illegal Mexicans in the USA. The bottom line is if we had half as many humans on the planet and we all had only 2 kids, and no Muslims, it would be a lot easer keep things stable. Now all the global warming and other leftist crap he talks about is just that liberal crap. By the way I am not saying we should do any drastic programs to do anything only that away from the emotions of this there is some common sense science to the idea. Want to solve pollution, cut down the number of humans to be able to treat sewage and pick up garbage. Want to keep everyone employed stop the human explosion in Mexico and any immigration growth. Economics in modern industrial countries with closed borders kids cost to much, when women become educated they use birth control and the birth rate drops to 2 kids per family with well educated parents and a industrial society all of this with no government controls. Its the uneducated peasants of the world along with antibiotics and modern farming and sanitary sewers thats feeds too many kids that all survive to adulthood.

Sorry that got you mad, I happen to love Catholics and have several in my family. Only stating facts here. I worked in Mexico for 5 years and thats what is going on there. No birth control, free antibiotics and exploding birth rates, all our 30 year old Mexicans in our Factory had 6 kids. They had 30% unemployment because of many reasons but over population was the main one. I happen to love Mexicans and have great respect for their dedication to family and work, much of that from their deep Catholic faith. I am also against illegal immigration. You can think in facts and use science without all the emotion you know.
