Like the six foot six tall Vincente Fox, who is half pure Castillian, and half Irish.

No mestizo blood dirtying up HIS lily-white veins!

If you watch any Mexican TV show or listen to any of their pop stars, they are all lily-white.

Mexico resembles Apartheid-era South Africa, that's how racist their ruling class is.

Oh, you mean that it is like South Africa was before the current looting and anarchy was made official policy? So is what we have to look forward to in Mexico the replacement of the racist and corrupt ruling class with a rule by communist leaning populists who take the country from unequal but somewhat functioning to in the toilet? Yeah, probably. Good analogy.

On the other hand, maybe getting a populist in charge in Mexico may encourage some of the hardcore lefties to move back.

Fox, on the surface seems to be a nice enough fellow, it's kind of hard to give him the Chavez treatment. But get a hardcore lefty in charge, would make our job a bit easier to get tough with Mexico.

I like the way you think! Yeah a Chavez type could pay benefits. Fox is a nice guy, you kinda get the feeling. Hard to demonize. A flaming leftist would get a lot of people to pull their heads out of the sand.

One of the funniest signs I saw at the Mexi-rallies was "Look, behind the Bush! I think I see a Fox!"

Where can I exchange gringo dollars for good ol' Pesos?

A few years back, I bought some silver coins (TOO few, dammit!) when silver was very cheap.

Some are US "Silver Eagles" -- some are "generic" .999 fine "Silver Round" coins. And, I made a point of buying a few Mexican Silver Peso coins.

Why would I buy Mexican .999 1 oz. coins, when they're no different from the others, "metallically speaking"?

Simple. I live in a very "Mexican-rich environment", and I figured that if things ever turn uber-uber-ugly, they'd be more readily negotiable with the invaders for trading purposes. Sort of like a Frenchman making sure he had some German cash on hand in the 1940s.

And if worse doesn't come to worst, well, they're obviously worth no less than any other generic silver 1 oz. piece.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

You'll fit right in, LOL!

Some years ago, a friend who'd done some missionary work in Mexico City told me how they all drove like lunatics, and when there'd be a collision, the drivers would get out of their cars -- and instead of exchanging insurance information (ha ha ha), or even arguing with each other, they would quickly and quietly remove the license plates from their respective vehicles and then blend in with the crowd.

Thinking, thinking, thinking . . .

Good on you mate! (No, seriously.)

If, Heaven forbid, the liberals ever come to power again, I plan to be right at the head of the line squalling for my FREE STUFF. I figure I've paid waaaaay too many taxes in my life and seen it handed out in fistfuls to society's deadbeats, I'm not going to pass up a turn at the trough.

I have seen similar actions here. Except for the removing of license plates, since they are not traceable back to the driver.

Please provide English translations. If they aren’t OK, then they should be here in the first place.
