I didn't mean pro-war as an insult; FR has strongly supported the Iraq war, and that's all I meant.

Can you believe it's taken me this long to finally get a login?

This is a must read for all of us:

April 09, 2006
The Timing Of The Iraqi Air Force Memo

****************************AN EXCERPT*********************************

Now that we have established the translation of the memo from the Iraqi Air Force general to all units requesting volunteers for suicide missions against American "interests", the timing of the memo appears to fit into a disturbing sequence in the months prior to 9/11. This memo is dated March 17, 2001, less than six months prior to the coordinated al-Qaeda attack on the US, at a time when the AQ plotters and pilots appeared to be in close proximity to Iraqi intelligence agents in Europe.

Welcome. We are a mixed lot that does occasionally reach a majority conclusion. Support for the Iraq war has gone up and down. Most of the time it was up. We were all scratching our heads when the WMD did not surface. Also began to wonder about Bush's plan for bringing democracy to Iraq. Some of us still disagree with nation building, but you cannot fault Bush for trying. Needless to say, we were extremely proud of the way our military took Baghdad so quickly.

Thanks for presenting CQ to the Web.

Thank you also for your reporting on the Gomery Commission investigation of the Liberals in Canada, when we had the publication ban!

Excellent job, sir!

Welcome Captain Ed. FreeRepublic is a very conservative site but there's only truth here. Love your site too and I comment there regularly. As I do here on FreeRepublic.

Now here's my exciting news.

Out here in the wilds of Delaware we have a little talk news radio station. They have Rush, Savage and Laura I.

Their afternoon drive host lost his voice I am not making this up. Rush lost his hearing but imagine losing your voice?!?!

After four months of hearing various people filling in, I'm not making this up hand to God, -I- applied for a job at that radio station.

No I'm not going to be the afternoon talk show host. I don't know what I'm going to be doing but I got an answer from the program manager and they have an opening in their newsroom, so the email states, and he wants to talk to me.

I know absolutely nothing about radio and so-stated in my email. The program manager read my Blog and said he liked my attitude. He said, and I quote....

"We hire for attitude and we train for skills".

I am just so very excited. I freepmailed JV yesterday with my news as JV, ahem, is one of the few people, actually the only, who have heard my voice. I am a lady but first thing my husband said when I told him the news, was I have a great voice for the job. Okay, so my husband loves me, in theory. But my buddy Shahda wished me well, which he would do as JV is a charming fellow. JV thought I would make a great radio host.

The radio station especially liked my blog post interviewing JV.

Wish me luck. I AM going to do this.

The station is WGMD for those of you in this area. 92.7 on the dial.

Bienvenido, Captain Ed!

I'm a former Minnesotan who listens to you guys every Saturday on the web. You've got the best show on the radio, and you're doing a fantastic job on your blog, and especially on this issue.
