Specter shouldn't be kicked out of the Republican Party, he just shouldn't have been rewarded with a leadership position. It signals a party that really doesn't have any strong convictions outside of business, and doesn't really care about domestic policy except when it interferes with business.

First of all, that hypothesis is nuts.

Secondly, The Discovery Channel performed a sample experiment that showed the single bullet could have easily created every wound it created and come out without deformation.

Oswald killed Kennedy. Science proved it. Monnbats deny it.

I'm an engineer. I understand this stuff. The bullet easily penetrated Kennedy and the man sitting in front of him. It's momentum was impeded by human flesh. The bullet did not deform.

You have to be a non-scientific kook to believe otherwise.

I'm no fan of Arlen Specter's, but you have to give the devil his due. When he allowed the hearings on Feingold's proposal to censure the President, he spoke against censuring President Bush and made Feingold look as silly as his proposal...even Feingold's own party would not support him.

Having said that, I do believe he owes the President more loyalty than he has shown. He definitely is not a Conservative, and I think he erred badly with his "single bullet theory" in the JFK assassination. Because of that error, we will probably never know the truth about what really happened in Dallas that day.

I saw the crap on the Discovery channel. To make it "work" they moved JFK's wound from his throat to his upper right chest. That is a LIE!

PS: Before you go around calling people names because they disagree with you MR. Engineer, study up on the subject. In addition to Mellon's book read ULTIMATE SACRIFICE by Hartman and Waldron, brand new, just published; like Mellon, they find a conspiracy. Oswald was set up and Specter played a big part in the coverup.

The only people who believe the official findings anymore on those who have listened to Cronkite, Rather, and the other liars who peddled Warren Comm crap for years.

I beg to differ on both counts.

Regarding the censure garbage. Acknowledging the temper tantrum of Feingold is wrong in and of itself. Holding a hearing justifies Feingold's bad behavior.

Secondly, I'm an engineer. If on bullet of the same caliber and from the same rifle takes the path that it took through Kennedy and the man sitting in front of him and is able to cleanly pass most bones in both individuals, it will not deform.

I understand materials science and human physiology. Let's just say it applies to my line of work today. The single bullet theory makes no sense to the layman.

Even the Discovery channel found the single bullet theory to be correct. The bullet had a slight deformation in it and it did not penetrate the leg of the man sitting in front of Kennedy only because the trajectory of the bullet was deflected by a wrist bone in the test dummy. Had it missed that bone, the bullet would have penetrated the top of the leg without any deformation.

I've never seen any president not endorse his own party's incumbent - senator, representative, or otherwise. For what other reason would the RNC endorse Specter and Chaffee?

You and I will have to disagree about the hearing on Feingold's censure proposal, because, in my opinion, when you expose a man's idiocy, you've destroyed his credibility. Feingold's rhetoric about censure has backfired on him, and he is no longer taken seriously.

Engineering is an admirable profession...my husband is an engineer! I, however, do not claim to have any expertise in the field of materials science or human physiology. I've watched several tapes that have been assimilated to explain the single bullet theory, and I have not been convinced they are accurate. I am what you accurately described as a 'layman', but I am able to comprehend what I read, and there are books that do not agree with your theory....one by a medical doctor. "JFK Conspiracy of Silence" was written by Dr. Charles A. Crenshaw,M.D. in 1992. Dr. Crenshaw was directly involved in trying to save the lives of JFK and Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas's Parkland Hospital. I have also looked at autopsy pictures of the entrance of a bullet in the front of Kennedy's throat. I am not trying to be argumentative or insulting, because we're both entitled to our beliefs, but are you telling me there was no exit wound in the back of Kennedy's skull?

Dr. Crenshaw's book shows a picture of the bullet with this description: The infamous "Magic Bullet." This missile is credited with causing seven wounds to two men while having sustained little damage itself. A physical impossibility. So good people can disagree! :)
