Kerry will want to ride one for a photo-op next time he's in Iraq.
Maybe gun down a few un-armed villagers for old time's sake - get himself another purple heart...

The Navy has slowly been expanding it's own version of it's own new "Naval Infantry" types with the Marine Corps edging away to becoming our "911" force anywhere in the world and not just "amphibious" type warfare.
Looks like their will be a lot of competition (and I hope cooperation) for this role between the Corps and the Army Airborne in this new endevour.

I've always wanted to buy a surplus Apocalypse Now-type PBR. I heard they draft something like 6 inches. I also heard they've been scrapped.

Oh Great! Now we'll hear in the 2008 election another story about how Kerry went on a secret mission and meets with the CIA in Syria on Christmas eve 2006.
