Anyone who clings to the historically untrue - and thoroughly immoral - doctrine that violence never settles anything I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the duke of Wellington and let them debate it.

The ghost of Hitler would referee.

Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst.

Breeds that forgot this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms.

It's an issue that will be solved when conditions are right the people are ready to solve it. I have confidence in the American people. Keep electing conservatives and appointing constitutionalist judges and sooner rather than later, the conditions will be right.

I vote for the one the I feel is the best in the primary, and Straight Republican Ticket in the General. :P

Same here, although I vote for the candidate that best reflects my views in the primary, and straight republican in the general. I've never sat out an election or voted democrat.

I should probably amend my first rule to:

Vote in the primary FOR the most conservative candidate who has a realistic chance of winning the general.

The threat of nontaxpayers dictating to the taxpayers is an irreversible power shift we can not allow.

I feel it has already happened.

Sometimes, good medicine tastes really bad. If I keep feeding a dog that bites me, he will continue to bite.

Sometimes, tearing down a rotten building to a good foundation is the only option. I will be cold and wet for awhile, but I can rebuild better than before. I believe that when Social Security/Medicare goes broke, maybe people will wake up.

I know I'll get slammed for this, but pain is a good motivator.

"I'm right there with you, brother. - but Jim never said that he was giving up anything. He just stated that it wasn't the only issue in play."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...........
Perhaps Jim would respond to clear up his stand. but as to your comment I have a question:" ever play chess??" this issue will define our government and country in this century, and is a check mate issue as it gives the marxists unlimited new voters.

goes so far as to try to punish those in the INS that would have the nerve to try to enforce the current laws.

Just a reminder. President Bush abolished the INS. It was replaced by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).

I sat out the first election i could have ever voted in, the one with Ross perot... I turned 18 in July and just blew it off or whatever and never voted.. If I would have voted I probably would have voted for Perot though... big mistake. i've never voted for a dem or 3rd party.

I believe that when Social Security/Medicare goes broke, maybe people will wake up.

Or turn to more Socialism to 'cure' it. -Look at what just happened in France.

I shudder to think of us becoming like them.

Just remember, though, we should rejoice every time a lib goes looney and utters something so bizaar or outrageous, they drive 1,000 more people from the "D" party to the "R" party, that's why the country is changing hues, and its getting redder all the time (despite the alledgely poor polls now being registered by GWB)

IMO The President and the Senate have sold out the middle class to the corporations (via Off-shoring and illegal Immigration).

These problems existed before Bush 43 was inaugurated in 2001. Clinton is responsible for the off-shoring by signing NAFTA in to law in 1994, and illegal immigration was around even during Reagan's second term.

I don't need to remind us that we are conservative. We need to remind Republican leadership that we are conservative.

I don't think so, I would vote for the one you agree with the most in the primary.

"We hold the majority."

REPUBLICANS!

"We CONTINUE working as hard as we possibly can to elect as many conservatives as we possibly can. We build a conservative majority that can overcome the Democrats and the RINOs."

No Libertarians, or independents in office today, in this present day MAJORITY coalition.

"We do not willingly give up any seats to Democrats."

We don't vote third party, or refuse to vote for personal payback when the outcome will lead to defeat. We continue to battle the enemy, dims!

"We add seats. Preferably, conservative seats."

But a RINO seat in a firmly blue state allows US to control committees, and the agenda! Never back someone that cannot win, because to do so aids our enemy... dims.

I realize this is a simplistic interpretation, but Jim can correct me if I am wrong.
