Cool! I think Lincoln said something similar to that but I don't have the exact quote.

I love it! Rumsfeld's IQ is twice that of the average reporter's That's an insult. It's more like ten times theirs.

Seeing him verbally bitch slap that guy is a real treat.

How exactly does "make(ing) the Iraq mission an entire failure" convert to "running an area of the world into the ground" or "ruining it"?

Thanks for pointing-out my error. I left a few zero's off Rumsfeld's score.

Jorge? Is that the guy on the zero dollar bill?

The poster wasn't criticizing strategic decisions. He said Rummy had run a country (presumably Iraq) into the ground.
The moderators agreed with me. The guy was a troll.

Tell'em Don.
Dem's never stop because they believe if they simply repeat the lies often enough they become facts.

Well, congratulations! You have dragged immigration into a thread about Rumsfeld and reporters!
I vote your post as the most obnoxiously irrelevant post of the day!

The topic of illegal immigration is currently quite relevant, just not so much on this thread.

Donald Rumsfeld is the complete opposite of Robert McNamara, who was useless, wrecked DoD, and was a total rear echelon.....................mess.

The moderators agreed with me. The guy was a troll. The moderatiors know what they're doing. He may have been a troll. My larger concern, however, is that anytime anyone expresses concern about the direction of Iraq, it's assumed that we're DU trolls. For some reason, it's viewed as unpatriotic to express concern that Iraq is teetering on the edge of civil war with ethnic death squads moving around the country.
Some people support the troops, love the country, and even support the broad Iraq mission and still think that the Administration made some huge strategic missteps that threaten to turn this into a debacle rivaling Vietnam. Their concerns should be listened to and evaluated on the merits, rather than simply dismissed. Unfortunately (and I'd love to be wrong about this), I have not seen that.
