I think Jesus would have been happy to drive off people who were corrupting children, and I think he expects the same of us.

What the sodomites do in their bedrooms is of no concern to me. Their agenda for a long time now has been to publicly smear it in our face. Sexual clubs of any type don't belong in our schools. Parading their deviant sexual lifestyle down our mainstreet only disgust the other 99% of us. My wife and I don't don't discuss our personal sex with anyone else and don't want to hear about others.

Methinks the Church should spend more time showing God's love to people than fighting social problems.

TADA!!!

Genesis 13:13
Now the men of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD.

Genesis 18:20-21
 20.  Then the LORD said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous
 21.  that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know."

Genesis 19:4-7
 4.  Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom--both young and old--surrounded the house.
 5.  They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
 6.  Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him
 7.  and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing.

Psa. 12:8 8 The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.

Isaiah 3:9
The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.

 More?

Ezekiel 16:49-50
 49.  "`Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.
 50.  They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.

But there IS hope!!!

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

 9.  Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
 10.  nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
 11.  And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

If you could NOT change, you would be in most pitiful shape.....

Good job in this true grassroots movement! You won't get the Rush Limbaughs and the Sean Hannitys taking this on. They are the true meaning of the term "homophobic".

So, you think its improper for Christians in the community to stand up against the normalization and indoctrination of the homo lifestyle???

Homosexuality is more than a social problem, it is a spiritual problem.

Primarily a spiritual problem!

I agree, it's a spiritual problem, and when enough people have it and/or promote it as normal and natural, we've got a social problem.

Jesus himself turned over the tables of the moneylenders, and spoke of God's wrath to come for the complacent sinner.

You are correct -- however, I submit this for your consideration: Jesus reserved most of his wrath for those who tried to keep others from experiencing God's grace and love -- such as the moneychangers at the temple, and the hypocritical "holier than thou" of the day, the infamous scribes and Pharisees.

Sex outside of marriage, be it homo- or heterosexual, is equal sin in God's eyes. How did Christ treat the woman caught in adultery? He didn't pick up a stone, that's for sure -- even though He, the sinless One, would have been within His rights to do so.

Homosexuality is more than a social problem, it is a spiritual problem. If people who believe in God had stood up like this earlier and oftener, we wouldn't be in the fix we're in today.

I agree, to a point. The church grows when we are known for our love one for another.

Why not both?

Because we're called to do one and not the other. "Go into all the world and make disciples of all men" was the last order my Commander issued.

I think it's improper to do it the way these folks are doing it. Please see my post #16.

You speak truth, Gunny. Therefore, our solutions should be primarily spiritual.

The Pink Swastika

Nazi Germany was over-run with violent homosexuals. Most of the leaders were perverts and Hitler was the most perverted of them all.

Germany was a "queer" nation under Hitler, and beginning with the military, the U.S. is fast becoming a violent homosexual culture of death!!

"Part of the curious half-light of his (Hitler's) sexual make-up which was only slowly beginning to preoccupy me, was that, to say the least, he had no apparent aversion to homosexuals. I suppose it is true to say that in any male movement of this sort, with one man at its head, you are bound to have a lunatic fringe of sexual perverts. Such men admirers will always gravitate into a group which, through its very cohesion, manages to take over some of the leading posts. But the Balts and Prussians, who formed such a large proportion of the membership of these organizations, did not seem to share my misgivings. "Do not worry, these people will fight like lions against Bolshevism. It will be like the Sparta of old," they used to say. "It becomes a sort of Liebestod for them when they fall in front of the enemy." Hitler had a circumlocution for it. "My most enthusiastic followers must not be married men with wives and children," he would proclaim. "No one with family responsibilities is any good for street fighting."(Hanfstaengl, Hitler: The Missing Years, p.78).

Ezekiel 16:49-50 49. "`Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. 50. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.

Note here that God lists the six sins of Sodom -- arrogance, gluttony, unconcern, lack of compassion for the poor, pride, and doing detestable things. Interesting, isn't it, that the detestable things is listed dead last? The Almighty does everything for a reason, and it seems to me that, in this context, the message is that the first sins listed lead to the later ones.

Ok, we'll just love on'em then. (strong southern accent)
I love ya, but I do think that your world view and perception is flawed. What you are saying, is that if the decision was made to institute a class "the virtues of gayness" for all k-12 students in the public schools....its all good with you. We will combat it with prayer and love?

o therefore, they need a place to easily recruit our nations young.....the preferred partners for the older perverts.

Having a gay sibling who I love very much, I gotta say this topic always makes me anxious. I just don't see all this "recruiting" stuff when I visit her and her friends. The basic theme I hear over and over is that they pay taxes but don't receive the same benefits and protection under the law. They often kid around about getting a gay tax break.

I won't pretend to understand their lifestyle but I think the recruiting thing is not accurate. My sis says that if there was a pill she could take to not be gay she'd be the first one in line.

Flame away...no pun intended!!!

Not at all. I do, and have, opposed such classes -- but on different grounds.

I am both a Christian and a citizen of this great country. As a taxpayer, I oppose these classes being taught in taxpayer-funded schools because it violates *my* first amendment rights to freedom of religion. I believe this is the form protests should take -- not in the guise of Christians "coming out of teh closet and putting the homosexuals back in," if I recall the phrase from the good Reverend correctly.

As a Christian, I oppose homosexuality because it is sex outside of marriage, which is clearly forbidden in both Old and New Testaments. However, in my truly humble opinion, Christ's love is better reflected in our caring for others than in protesting against them.

We are all sinners completely unworthy of Grace. Our role as Christians is that of one beggar showing another where we found bread -- not shoving the bread down their throat or denying them access to the bread so we can have it all ourselves.
