I dont agree with the "good rev's" use of words, but I do believe (and that scripture reinforces)that we are to be socially active as Christians, and that we as "tax payers with rights" or as Christians in the community have a responsibility to stand firm.

Tough love is also a necessary kind of love.

NIV Matthew 11:20-25
20. Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.
21. "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
23. And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.
24. But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."
25. At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
Tough Love indeed!!!

As a human being, I'm no better neither nor worse than anyone who chooses to be gay. I too have friends (acquaintances) that are gay, have had lengthy discussions on the subject. Also, and like and appreciate them as individuals; I just don't agree with their lifestyles.
I also know of one or 2 that always seem to have a much younger 'partner', so, that's where I make my statements along with knowing personally 3 males who discretely admitted that they made 'the change' after after encounters with a much older male who befriended them up front with gifts and getaway weekends. 3 of those 3 are now HIV positive.
No different IMHO in any other sins we commit against God's instructions for our lives.
May God's mercy be bestowed on us all as we all suffer trials and tribulations on this earth.

"Jesus reserved most of his wrath for those who tried to keep others from experiencing God's grace and love "
And just how is singing praying etc, doing anything different. Someone has to stand up for Christians, and for children. And they did it without protesting.
