Good arrests, always make me smile.
Thanks for the ping.
We really need a computer system of fingerprints and mug shots of these illegals that have been "deported" umpteen times.
It's a "GET OUT OF JAIL FREE" card!
They also assault tourists and steal their cars. Several years ago it became such a racket that the government had to "crack down" on the cops that were doing it. It was starting to cut into the Gringo tourist trade!
If we had "leaders" who cared, this would have been done long ago, and the borders would have been closed long ago. Instead, about a million illegal aliens come in every year (from who knows where), and our "leaders" do nothing.
I think the war on terror should be fought against Mexico, who continues to invade this country right under the Bush administration's nose, with their encouragement. First time in history - an invasion of America by a third world dump.
We have one.
After Congress, in the wake of 9-11, demanded fingerprinting (with two fingers) of all arriving aliens that system was eventually fielded at all airports and seaports, and for the past year and a half or so, nearly 100 percent of non-greencard-holding aliens arriving by air and sea get their prints scanned and are checked against a watch list that includes deportees. So deported Koreans, Dominicans, and Germans stand little chance of slipping in again.
Now the land borders are another story. The Bush administration wanted and got an exception to the 100-percent alien check at land border crossings. On the US-Mexico border, US Border Patrol officers just do a visual check of Mexicans' "border crossing card". No fingerprinting except if something "flags" the alien. No scanning of the border crossing card either (though it actually contains fingerprint data).
Of course the above only pertains to those crossing our Southern border who actually deign to use a legal border crossing.
