Shep Smith Belongs On CNN
FOX News

Posted on 04/14/2006 12:29:31 PM PDT by davidtalker

This guy is on there now talking down the war effort. Talking down Rummy. Telling his guest (General) "this Administration wants Americans to believe Saddam was responsible for 9/11." This guy is so transparent. He's better off in "The Situation Room" with Blitzer and Cafferty. Touting the six retired Officers calling for Rummy's head. Shep is just trashing the effort. Drama Queen.

Vannity has nailed him several times.

You got the wrong toe-sucker - that was Dick Morris.

Then Smith and Vannity have something in common. Vannity nailed himself good with his lies about the port deal.

Are you talking about Paul Gigot's show?? Being cancelled??

Say it isn't so...but, please let me know what you find.

If true, I am going to encourage anyone who likes that show to barrage Fox with e-mails.

Count me as one who no longer bothers to watch FNC.

When I respond with an email it's always because of something I've read on FR

LOL....so funny!

Although my husband would have to say the opposite...I am the frugal one in the family...and since I took over the finances years ago...we have done a LOT better..and that is why I NOW am a "kept" woman.

Yes, I'd just soon see a replacement for him on FNC because of his attitude at times. But I don't think it's going to happen unless he gets a better offer from someone else.

I have never had a problem with Shep. I thought overall his Katrina coverage was top notch. I have my favorites on FNC, but I think he does a good job.

That's what I read......geeze, now I'm under the gun to find that comment. I told the other poster it was from an e-mail regarding the Wall Street Journal. I'll keep looking.

OH NO!
NOT Gigot's program.
It's the best and FNC just started giving it a replay later in the day!

LOL...I have been exactly where you are right now...

I have mentioned things I have read on threads..and when a poster gets excited or upset..and wants links or something I am thrown into a panic.

Therefore, please do NOT feel pressured or in a panic on my account.

But, if you do find something, please let me know...just do NOT stress yourself over it, please!!!

Shep is real, biased, sometimes over the top, but fair and balanced. That's why I like watching his show.

That's the Foxnews way. Its hosts don't have to hide their bias, they just have to allow time for the other side to offer an opposing viewpoint.

In the summer of 2004, when John O'Neill and the Swiftboat Vets for Truth stepped forward to counter the "myth" of John Kerry with the truth about his service in Vietnam, Shepard Smith stated flatly on his show that the Swiftboat Vets were liars. He presented no evidence, he did no investigation, just HIS opinion. And, he has never retracted nor apologized for that accusation.

That one episode told me all I ever need to know about Shepard Smith.
