Shep Smith Belongs On CNN
FOX News

Posted on 04/14/2006 12:29:31 PM PDT by davidtalker

This guy is on there now talking down the war effort. Talking down Rummy. Telling his guest (General) "this Administration wants Americans to believe Saddam was responsible for 9/11." This guy is so transparent. He's better off in "The Situation Room" with Blitzer and Cafferty. Touting the six retired Officers calling for Rummy's head. Shep is just trashing the effort. Drama Queen.

You can present challenges to a guest without inserting opinions. He could have touted the bona fides of the critics. He could have discussed tactical mistakes. No problem. But , when he raises his voice and claims the Administration attempted to convince Americans Saddam was responsible for 9/11, that has no relevance to the discussion at hand. Is a highly opinionated statement and shows his bias.

Wasn't Shep Smith the journalist who got all excited about the dead body he found in New Orleans, and did broadcasts in front of it all day?

My, my how things have changed. About three years ago I mentioned how I despised this arrogant little twit. I'm still smokin' from the flaming I got. Glad more people are seeing this fool for what he is...a self-centered moronic girly man. :o)

Shep before and after a weinie transplant. (No, Rummy wasn't really describing the improvement in this shot.)

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld answers a reporter's question during a news conference at the Pentagton in a Tuesday, April 11, 2006 photo. A growing number of commanders who served under Rumsfeld say he has botched the war, ignored the advice of his generals and should be replaced. (AP Photo/Dennis Cook, File)

It's not so much what Smith says, it's the arrogant way he says it and many times he is disrespectful to the guest as he was today.

Shep gets my blood boiling, but CNN Blitzer puts me to sleep.

I take Shep anytime. I like his Southern hotheadedness

In the Department of Defense there are:
34 - four star generals/admirals

124 - three star generals/admirals

278 - two star generals/admirals

439 - one star generals/admirals

Throw in the U.S. Coast Guard and you have 900 generals and admirals on active duty today. This is roughly the same number of generals/admirals who were on active duty in WWII when our military was 12,000,000 strong.

Given that on any given year 15-20% of those generals/admirals will retire each year it doesn't take much figuring to realize that the number of generals calling for Secretary Rumsfeld to resign is laughable.

That might be his foppish tone of voice. Don't tell anyone, but I think Shep might... play for the other team.

Fox has a few good eggs on the network, and this is surely a breath of fresh air. But I see so many moon bats lurking about, squirrelly eyed and addled, spouting DNC talking points, that it is almost funny, somewhat like the set of the old PTL network, or a repeat of The Munsters.

My favorite of Shep's around Katrina time was the night before Katrina struck when he was in the French Quarter interviewing people partying and just strolling around. He stopped two guys who were walking their dog and asked them why they were staying put and not worried about the coming storm. One of the guys answered, on live TV, "none of your f***ing business."

I'm starting to love John's radio show more than Rush's or Sean's.

I don't know about the dead body but he was on the freeway overpass all day and pretty much went ballistic.

Sheppy is a flaming liberal but overall not a bad guy. If Fox were as biased as ABCCBCNBCCNN, then everyone at Fox would be a flaming liberal. That is what makes Fox News great. You get both sides and you can make up your own mind based on that.
