"I am starting to fear that Iran is developing a nuclear weapon specifically for use against Israel."

That is the theory of a lot of people, including many Iranians. The notion is that once Iran gets a nuclear bomb, Israel is doomed, regardless of what action it takes.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you would willingly give up his/her life to kill this guy? If you knew that you would die, but also knew that he would die, too, would it be worth it to you? As a Christian, I know that murder is wrong, but this doesn't qualify as murder, in my opinion. Not all killing is murder, after all. It would be justice and the prevention of evil on a scale unseen in human history. He's going to do it if he gets the chance and SOMEONE somewhere has to step up and stop it.

As a Christian, trust in God. God will deal with this guy in His time and His way.

I get this feeling they want a fight with us and are hell bent on making it happen...and have convinced themselves they can win....

And that worries me to death.

It's a good thing there's no real reason to take this guy at his word.

Let's starting taking him at his word after he annihilates a few million people. Good thinking.

Israel will not let that happen.

Israeli's people have been propagandized into a progressive stupor. They don't have the stomach to stop him, any more than the United States does.

Israel's days as the toughest kid on the middle eastern block are over, I'm afraid.

The Mrs. had a similar same idea -- and the Dems wouldn't complain, after all, the immigrants would just be doing the jobs that Americans don't want to do (so they say)...

It's a good thing there's no real reason to take this guy at his word. Fortunately, this is just talk.

Are you freaking nuts?

I wouldn't want to bet the lives of several million Israelis on the notion this is all talk.

Take them at their word...

Fallout is vastly overrated.

I beg to differ with you on that. One of the isotopes in fallout is iodine 131. The body readily absorbs it and it decays inside the body. It is very dangerous. Additionally, Strontium 90 is often mistaken by the body for calcium. It is stored in the bones and then it decays.

When the trinity shot when off some of the fallout came down in Ohio where Eastman Kodak had their paper mill for their film. Needless to say the paper was ruined because when the film was created little spots developed on it.

Ironically, when Ranger Able went off in Nevada some fallout came down in Rochester, NY. Which is where one of Eastman Kodak's main warehouses was. It developed spots on the film. Kodak sent a 4 word telegram to the AEC that just said "What are you doing?"

Israel's days as the toughest kid on the middle eastern block are over, I'm afraid.

There is nothing like a good kick in the face to change all that real quick. Unfortunately, democracies are not good a preemptive action, especially when the siren song of wealth and (relative) peace has been calling for a long time. But once free people realize that their very existence is threatened, hell can be unleashed PDQ.

No news here. The main effect is the blast. There was fallout coming down all over the planet for decades, from hundreds of nuclear tests, many of them a thousand times bigger than the atom bombs Iran is building.

The blast is the immediate effect. The fallout can be much worse over time.

Many said the same thing about Hitler, even after he had revealed his entire philosophy and plan for his future vision for Europe in Mein Kampf.

Head in sand disease has been with humanity since day one.

Fallout will be serious if 100 or more nukes are set off in one region at once. It will require those downwind to be seeking shelter for several weeks.

But once free people realize that their very existence is threatened, hell can be unleashed PDQ.

Hopefully, at that point, millions of lives won't already be lost.

I've lost a lot of faith in the Israeli people in recent weeks. Hell, I've lost faith in the American people, too. I'm starting to believe it's going to take something unspeakable to open our eyes.
