Half a million infiltrators a year - this is the prevailing estimate. Half a million make their way almost openly across the porous border between Mexico and the United States and cross the desert to Los Angeles. Twelve million Mexican immigrants are living in America illegally. The irony is that the Promised Land to which they are coming will perhaps no longer be one if they continue to come. Their immigration brings with it an individual promise, but also the seeds of a collective calamity. The absorbing country - the slow, convoluted, bureaucratic giant - is not capable of dealing with the stunning flood.

Not even Adam Smith himself would be an advocate of such insanity. The dirty truth is that most of the open border advocates are in fact, statists, as long as the states policies make them money.
And march in protest that Americans won't do, vote in elections that Americans won't do, ...
They have changed this land already, look at schools and what American children can and can't do because of the illegals and that's just one change that has been brought to our attention, one day and very very soon these horrific changes to our economy, our freedoms will be felt by every single American!!And it won't be pretty.
The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers
inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists'
abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees.
Here's an interesting new thread on new legal reform progress that finally
emerged in Mexico I think as a result of immigration reform's failure:
We can make a difference for our sake, and their's as well. Isn't it the
neighborly thing to do?
True, most hispanics here are not the MeCHA types. I was just surprised when browsing the radical hispanic websites that they blame the evil Jooooos.
They are not illegals, they're just "nationally challenged".
I prefer the word: "Invaders"...
However, "infiltrators" does have a certain flair.
ANYTHING is better than "guest workers," isn't it?
Assuming that he is sane, Rosner would not support 10,000 Arabs entering Israel illegally every year. What is extreme about protecting our borders?
One of A. Lincoln's secretaries objected to him using the word "sugar-coat" in describing how some political opponents were `spinning' the facts. He replied that Americans would always know what "sugar-coat" meant and left it in the speech.
guest voters is more like it
A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the
Richter scale has hit Mexico.
Two million Mexicans have died and over a million
The country is totally ruined and the government
doesn't know where to start with providing help to rebuild. The
rest of the world is in shock.
Canada is sending troops to help the Mexican
army. Saudi Arabia is sending oil. Other Latin American
countries are sending supplies. The European community (except France) is
sending food and money.
The United States, not to be outdone, is sending two million
God Bless America
I remember the multiple posts on FR at the time. I believe I am right in the actual logistics of how this came about. I stand corrected of course, as it was about 4 years ago.
The Somali people were originally settled in the State of Georgia. The authorities had drastically cut back for all welfare recipients. This was across the board.
Someone did their homework. The State of Maine- not having a massive welfare population, therefore had among the most benefits in the USA.
Oh, so I see... yep, go to a blue state and sucker off them.
From what I have been reading recently, Minneapolis also has an immigration problem with Somalis now as well (and gee, get this, Minnesota is another blue state).
Just goes to show, many immigrants are hard working, yes. Many are not, though.
