This DiMassi was just angling for a way to TAX people with a forced participation to open their pool and now the uninsured pool federal monies are going to the mass legislature.

This was the act of politician cowards.

Dimasi is saying he put his career on the line.

SAID THE GOV DID NOTHING TO HELP WITH THIS "PROJECT"

They had cooperation among LIBERAL GROUPS.

They have literally found a way to budget shift pork.

Now they democrats say they are going to overide the veto of the anti-business provisions.

EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITY is the new socialist mantra.

How about EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITY?

John McDonough has NO CLUE about a real world. He is 100% pure government control of ecconomy.

Philip Edmundson William Gallagher Associates saying they SCREWED the small business because they are too small and location dependent.

Restaurants, small retail shops could not move so they decided to screw them. The big business could more but already had insurance.

Massachusets is stuck on stupid. Because the person will MOVE and then open their business.

This is a public taking because the state of mass just became a partner in everyone's business.

Based upon the Big Dig history, I expect this plan to cost 850% of the original estimate. It will run employers out of MA faster than Ted Kennedy making a run on Au Bar. The MA legislature qualifies as an organized crime family.

John Holahan of Urban Institute

They are a case study of democrats who think is THEIR MONEY.

ATTENTION BUSINESS stay away from massachusetts!

If the real estate bubble bursts it will be in mass because there is going to be an exodus.

The more and more I read about the Mass. legislature these days, the less and less I want to return there (where I grew up and where most of my family and close friends reside).

They are going to subsidize everyone who is below 300% of the the poverty number.

IOW FREE STUFF for democrat voters.

I would not touch a Mass Bond offering untill after the state declares bankruptcy. (or is forced into involuntary bankrupcy by creditors)

... "No. They're GREEDY."

No - actually the "Big Dig" was such a successful jobs program in Tax-a-chusetts, this "Mass Heathcare" approach was modeled to repeat that - only better. Many more Federal dollars!!!

I think it is very important for our fedral dollars NOT to go to Mass. They have their new system, lets see how it does without money from teh other 49 states.

Mass should not be allowed to use federal dollars to fund their socilized medicine system.

USA is the wealthiest nation on earth. Our companies, who use and abuse the american worker, can afford to pay for universal health care. No legal citizen in this country should be denied affordable health care. Let not forget we are human beings.

Tax subsidized employer healthcare is the very reason we have our present healthcare "crisis" of rapidly increasing costs. Why? Because it short circuits the free market. People no longer have any direct economic connection to the use of healthcare. They lack personal financial incentives for wise visits to the doctor's office. The abuse that results will only grow worse as government involvement increases. Please read Milton Friedman's explanation: http://www.hooverdigest.org/013/friedman.html

Well, the more and more I read your posting, the more I uspect you are just trolling. But perhaps not. With that in mind...

Yes, we are the wealthiest ntion. And while your opinion may be that companies are "using and abusing" employees, it may also be said that employees are taking advantage of their employers. It's a mutual agreement that employee and employer have made. Aside from armed services, no one is forcing you to stay at any particular job. You can up and quit your present position for a better paying job any time you wish. And the employer can fire you any time it deems that you are not fulfilling your obligations as well. And in case you never noticed, most (but not all) employers will offer some sort of Health Care insurance, and pay a portion of it as well. If yours doesn't, well, quit. otherwise you are staying there of your own choosing.

And by the way: Who ever told you that companies can afford it? Do you know how many companies have nearly gone belly up trying to keep their employees share of health insurance low, taking on larger portions themselves???
