Some do good; some don't. Life is not fair. Drugging kids to make them ore compatible with society tells me there is something seriously wrong with society.

Or maybe 1984 happened 20 years later (I assume you read Orwell). Up is down; down is up.

As a parent, you want your kid to have the best opportunity for what, exactly? What is your measurement? Fitting in? Conforming to government's ideals? Not making trouble?

Nice try bringing up this late in the game that your ADD boy is a danger to himself and others when not medicated. Are you saying that ADD boys are a danger to themselves and others if they are not medicated? Or just yours? Moving the goalposts? Think it would go unnoticed?

If your boy is a danger to himself or others, unmedicated, I doubt ADD is the cause.

Schizophrenia, Psychotic, Severe Depressive Disorder, and others cover that.

I've seen evidence today, that not drugging those who need it may lead to them growing up to be an a$$ on internet boards despite their ability to earn 6 figures.

One of the Lies our Empty Suits in the Lame Stream Media will not articulate. Is that we have recruiting issues due to the Military rejecting Male Candidates who have been on Ritalin. Australia has banned its use there. As it has caused Strokes and Heart Attacks in boys as young as 5 years old. While there may be some Males who do need it. Sorry I don't buy into the idea that 4 million plus Males in our schools need this powerful drug. The Drug Companies want the profits that is clear.

Also many schools have eliminated Recess. I recall having a race in my elementary school that I won. I was exhausted from the effort. How many obese young boys are there who do not go out, exert themselves physically because we have Feminized our schools? For the crime of the boys having a different neurological blueprint than girls have?

Will the FemNags allow us to segregate classes by Gender? Dispite the overwhelming evidence that those sufferring the most are our Minority males? Where is Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton in all this? AWOL as usual and chasing the cameras at Duke University of course. Where is La Raza, LULAC and the Hispanic Groups? Also AWOL.

One of the things I hate most is when schools demand a parent put their kid on Ritalin or they can't attend school. My ex-boss buckled down to this then after awhile took her daughter off the drugs and changed schools. The child's school records follow her wherever she goes now. Disgraceful.

There may be some instances when medications are a proper course of action. At least the attempt. However many years ago when my son was in elementary school a teacher called me, highly upset to tell me he had been practicing UN acceptable behavior. She went on to inquire whether I had my son seen by a doctor and recommended something like Ritalin. His UN acceptable behavior was that he had climbed a tree at recess that was on school property in the play area and had placed a marble in his mouth.

Now I don't know about you but I think that is an example that just reinforces the original article.

Thank God I grew up around real men. You know the John Wayne types. I found my manhood early, I have nurtured it,
and I will not surrender it to anyone. I also make my beliefs clear to my children and grandchildren. They will make their own decisions but at least they will have more than one perspective to use for thought.Manhood and Chivalry are not dead. Just regrouping.
