ON THE SHOW TODAY

Inquiring Minds Want to Know

Rumors are swirling that Tony will be tapped to serve as the Bush Administration's new Press Secretary. What will he do?

Who's Afraid of John Murtha?

Apparently six retired Generals with more white flags expected to fly. The President says Rumsfeld stays. But what is the damage done to the mission in Iraq with so many doubting Thomases coming out of the bunker? Tony has the latest.

Tiki's Plan of Attack

There can be little doubt that there’s a potentially looming crisis on the horizon with Iran’s Nutjob-in-Chief Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Who better to ask about what course of military action should be taken than NY Giants Wrecking Ball Tiki Barber.

Tony this morning has received high praise from Bill Bennett and Don Imus. Apparently we aren't the only ones who like the Snow Man.

I think Tony is liked by everyone. Unless and until he takes it. If he were to take it, you can bet the Dems will start swinging. He'll need a thick skin!

Winds Of Love

Read:
1 John 4:1-8

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. —1 John 4:8

Bible In One Year: 2 Samuel 9-11; Luke 15:11-32

cover A farmer had a weather vane on his barn, on which was written "God is love." When friends asked why, the farmer said, "This is to remind me that no matter which way the wind blows, God is love."

When the warm "south wind" with its soothing and balmy breezes brings showers of blessing, God is love. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above" (James 1:17).

When the cold "north wind" of trial and testing sweeps down upon you, God is love. "All things work together for good to those who love God" (Romans 8:28).

When the "west wind" blows hard upon you with its punishing intent, God is love. "Whom the Lord loves He chastens" (Hebrews 12:6).

When the "east wind" threatens to sweep away all that you have, God is love. "God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory" (Philippians 4:19).

Perhaps you are discouraged and downhearted. If so, remember, God still cares for you. What you are experiencing has either been sent or it has been allowed by Him for your good.

Yes, no matter which way the wind is blowing, God is love. —Richard De Haan

God is love: His mercy brightens
All the path in which we rove;
Bliss He wakes and woe He lightens—
God is wisdom, God is love. —Bowring

No affliction would trouble us if we knew God's reason for permitting it.

Tony, David Gregory says you've been informally offered the job and are just deciding whether to take it. This is not a question. Just reporting.

Someone on this thread yesterday said that if Tony won't take it, General ("you're stuck on stupid") should. I sort of like that choice if Tony's not available.

From an unexpectedly fair article in the Washington Post on Brit Hume

Lately, Hume says, he has been "seriously considering" hanging it up when his contract expires in three years.

Does anyone here have any ideas on who might succeed Brit?

Katie Couric is probably too expensive and the, um, timing seems to be about right.

On the other hand, if they give the post to Geraldo, we might get Laurie Dhue back.

Ducking...

I hope that doesn't come true for a LONG time. Brit's show is my PRIME source for political news and he's the best in the business. In three years, I hope someone like Bret Baier or Greg Kelly is ready to step up. They seem fair...or maybe after he comes back from the WH, Tony could do it? Hint, Hint, Tony???
