The Politically-Timed Immigration Raids
Michelle Malkin.com ^ | 4/20/06 | Michelle Malkin

I speak regularly with dedicated men and women who work for the Department of Homeland Security, and especially agents from across the country who work for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

I can tell you based on my reporting over the last five years that the Bush administration's belated efforts to look tough on immigration enforcement at worksites amount to a cynical, politically timed effort to salvage the White House's guest worker program dreams and schemes. I'm referring to this story linked prominently today on Drudge and spread elsewhere:

I'm not interested in your question. I'm marginally interested in your ridiculous rhetoric.

I have several priorities too.

Primary among them really is the size of our federal government. Bush has done terribly on that.

Another is our coddling of the lazy. He's done terribly on that too (N.O. as just one example)

Then there's federal involvement and spending in education. He's dobuled the federal education budget.

Then there's unfunded promises - Prescription Drug benefit.

Oh yeah... and the illegal immigration thing.

I would like to see a follow up on this news coverage. I would like to see how many of these illegals are back at work on Monday. I doubt they were driven much more than out of camera shot, had their name and address recorder and were then released.

I would really like to know. Then we would know if we're having our collective you know what's pulled or if the administration is serious. If they aren't being deported, it is YET ANOTHER waste of taxpayer money on this issue.

No. You should be "really" embarrassed.

You never answered my question, why Bash Bush for doing something, politically motivated or not? What happened is a GOOD thing. It probably was politically motivated and that's why they call President Bush a "POLITICIAN". You should be a little more grateful that a "POLITICIAN" actually heard the will of the people and is actually responding. Keep the pressure on and the responses will continue but start bashing, even when a good thing happen, then President Bush may say the hell with everyone because can't win for losing.

LOL!! You're the one who is getting his butt kicked all over this thread.

Try to have a nice day, despite the way it started.

Can you point us all to this original chart?

I think this report will have the original chart. It is not loading at the moment for some reason though.
