Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 20, 2006 -- The new Hillary Clinton quote book "I've Always Been a Yankees Fan: Hillary Clinton In Her Own Words" (World Ahead Publishing; paperback: $12.95; ISBN 0974670189) by Thomas D. Kuiper just hit stores last week, but it is already igniting a firestorm of attention. Public figures ranging from Rudy Giuliani to Senator Clinton's own spokesman have already weighed in on the controversial new book.
Using over one hundred diverse and attributed sources, Kuiper has assembled the biggest collection of Hillary quotes to date, putting them into witty and hilarious context. The quotes cover a diverse selection of topics, ranging from Clinton's claim to be named after a famed mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary (who scaled Mount Everest years after her birth) to her penchant for yelling at the unfortunate Secret Service agents assigned to protect her.
Even though I've Always Been a Yankees Fan has only been in bookstores for a few days, it is already causing ripples in political circles. On Tuesday, while campaigning for Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), New Yorks beloved ex-mayor Rudy Giulliani mocked Clinton while invoking the book, saying, "There's that book that just came out... [it points out that one thing that Hillary and I do have in common: We're both Yankee fans. I became a Yankee fan growing up in New York. She became a Yankee fan growing up in Chicago."
In the book's foreword, conservative commentator and former Clinton advisor Dick Morris writes: Hillary thinks that nobody is keeping track and that her quotes will never catch up with her. But Thomas Kuiper did keep track. This wonderful little book will...make sure that Hillary's quotes and lies are not forgotten but come back to haunt her.
While conservatives have rallied around the new book, liberals have been swift in denouncing the quote book. When asked about it by The New York Times, Senator Clinton's spokesman, Philippe Reines, danced around the issue, saying: For those who are truly interested in reading her own words on many important issues, there are no better books than 'It Takes a Village' and 'Living History,' both by Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In an interview with CNN, Slate editor and Bushisms author Jacob Weisberg made the incorrect claim that Every single quote has the f-word in it. The outspoken liberal went on to call the book a Hillary hater's fantasy for what Hillary sounds like in private. While the book does contain profane language and ethnic slurs attributed to the former first lady, not all of her quotes contain obscenities.
Comparisons between 'I've Always Been a Yankees Fan' and 'Bushisms' miss the point, says Eric M. Jackson, president of World Ahead Publishing. It's hardly news that Bush jumbles his words from time to time. Thomas Kuiper's book, by contrast, reveals something new and important about a woman who wants to be president. By using dozens and dozens of attributed sources, it paints a portrait of Hillary Clinton as someone who is vulgar yet ruthless in her pursuit of power.
Hillary's acolytes have their work cut out for them, adds Jackson. Do they really expect us to believe that the entire 160 pages of documented research in which Hillary yells at Secret Service agents, curses Republican office-holders, uses foul language with reckless abandon, and even demands that political donors build her a swimming pool are all inaccurate?
ANYTHING but Hitlery.
GASP!!! How could you say that??? Now you have to duck behind the couch! LOL
Too bad Christie Whitman can't stop her yapping at republicans and take a page from Rudy.

ROFLMAO
I am willing to bet she actually said that with a straight face.
Nothing damages a lib more then their own words, separated only by time and a changed political climate.
I wonder if the book includes Hillary's 'Ganhdi Joke'?
Why oh why do the libs call it an attack when you use their OWN words?
Rudy Guiliani IS a liberal.

A bit of a paradox mixed with an oxymoron --- :-)
(Anybody notice anything wrong with this sentence?)
No. Morris realized that the Clintons were pigs, so he's changed sides. Just as several here used to be democrats but saw the error of their ways and have become Conservatives. This constant Morris-bashing is so old and tired.
"They're f**king us blue!"
Beats the hell out of me. When Rush plays lib soundbites, they go into denial...
Don't know who originally said it but, "the definition of a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged."
Yeah, Rudy G. can only be called a conservative in New York or Boston. Except for his stance on crime, Rudy was as liberal as any mayor in the city's history.
Wonder if he said that with a straight face, and how much his nose grew....
Hillary racist and anti-semitic.
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.
Using extensive, attributed sources, editor Tom Kuiper has assembled the biggest collection of Hillary quotes ever, putting them into witty, sometimes illustrated and always hilarious context.
Hillary on Living in Arkansas:
"I had never before lived in a place so small, so friendly and Southern, and I loved it. I went to Arkansas Razorback football games and learned to call the hogs."
"This is the kind of s*** I have to put up with." (To a friend after a Clinton supporter gave her a pair of Arkansas Razorback earrings.)
Hillary on the Secret Service:
"[We] have nothing but praise for their courage, integrity and professionalism, and we feel lucky to remain friends with the many agents who protected us."
"If you want to remain on this detail, get your a** over here and grab those bags." (To an agent who wanted to keep his hands free in case of a security threat.)
Hillary on Money:
"Too many people have made too much money." (Describing the greedy people in the health care industry.)
"Im pleased that the Senate Ethics Committee has found that my agreement with Simon & Schuster fully complies with Senate Ethics rules." (Discussing her $8 million book deal.)
