"hot pursuit"

You keep saying this, as if you believe that repetition will eventially make it true.

The reason the dog got shot was not that the cops were getting ready to "attack" Randy Weaver's place ~ rather, they thought the dog was a game animal.

Hunting "game animals" with an MP5? You're remarkably full of crap.

Then what was the helicopter for?

In any case, the cops are well covered by a number of other legal doctrines.

Best not pull a gun on a cop you know.

"In any case, the cops are well covered by a number of other legal doctrines."

We are quite aware that the government has made everything they do all nice and legal.

If I ever won the lotto I'd just buy an island someplace and declare myself an independent country...

Or even better, offer to make it a Swiss colony, so that you get the advantage of good banking laws.

"Lorton Prison" ~ filled with DC's nastiest criminals.

Go figure -- and here I thought I thought that the Senate was filled with DC's nastiest criminals

shoot the dog first. a dog is always your first line of defense, not necessarily as an attack dog, but as an early warning system.

Doesn't the report of a gun shot serve as an early warning too?

Just because armed men claim to be police officers invading your property is no reason not to defend yourself on your own property.

What do they tell these knuckle head guys when they put a badge on their chest and a gun in their hand.

Anyone that has dealt with some of these so-called peace officers know they are not the brightest.

when was the last time you heard about a raid team going out without suppressed MP5s? best way to describe the sound is similar to that of what an air powered nail gun makes.

Unless he married one of his sisters, the sister would not be his.

Sure do. Otherwise no one but slaves would work for the government.

That, BTW, is the technique used by the Mameluks. I think you'd have enjoyed them even less than you do the sort of government we have today.

Hardly. The US Senate IMPORTS it's criminals. DC has no senators.

No, I don't know. I suppose I will just have to be shot by a cop while wandering around on my property to find out.

So Mameluks or Samuri?. I'd prefer another option.
