I enjoy music but not the this extreme. I have about 20 CD's that I listen to over and over. It behoves me to see a kid (9 nieces and 4 nephews) with Ipods that have 1500 songs on them. My only reply is I can't even name 1500 songs!

I remember when I had moved up from buying just 45's to actually buying a whole album! Man, I thought I was soooo cool.

LOL! I hear ya. Hubby bought me an MP3 player about a month ago, and iRiver or something like that. I have no idea how to use it. Seems like a lot of confusing work to me.

Drive by a middle school and ask the first kid you see.
PS - Don't offer candy, ask for directions or say "Have you seen my lost puppy?" LOL!

My first 78 record came from that used music store and it was Elvis on one side and Jerry Lee Lewis on the other. I can no longer remember the title, but the Elvis song was not a big hit, but I loved it. When we got home from our honeymoon hubby and I went to mom's to get the rest of my worldly possesions and found out mom had thrown ALL my records away....sure wish she hadn't done that...LOL

More exemplar exploitation journalism only without an ending; why post stories that require linking only to discover that there is no conclusion or enough facts to draw one?

This deserves sanctions for filing of a frivilous lawsuit.

Yeah , but some of those ' oldies' fetch a whopping price of $100.00 to 500.00 on the internet auction sites today . Can't do that in 50 years + with a file share .

Yup, they could be worth a lot today, if you didn't play them over & over & over.... like I did. Those steel needles took ther toll on the plastic. Besides, those records had terrible sound qualities. Almost as if they didn't use microphones and just shouted into bare wires. :)

My first 78 was "Mule Train"
Back then, the store owner would ask, "Big hole or small?"

I just recently recovered some old 45's from my grandma's house that were long forgotten. Some K.C. and the Sunshine Band, ABBA, Eagles. I was so excited! Course, I have no way to play them, but they're fun to look at.

Want to know how old I am?
I have the "Grease" LP, cassette, CD, and now on Ipod.
Guess you could say I'm a fan...

Back in 80 or 81. I upgraded my stereo system. I bought a linear tracking turntable. At the time it was the latest thing in turntable technology. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the last thing in turntable technology. I didn't think the CD craze would last. Ipods have proved me right!!!! BTW, if I seach hard enough, I'm sure I have some 8 tracks around here somewher. :)

LOL! I have the Grease CD (90% of the songs are great on that one) and love it. What is an Ipod and how does it work? (j/k) I do not own one and probably never will and I'm still a youngster in his early 30's!
