re ;Guess we'll see in the coming years how well England does with that, eh?

Well we are dealing with it quite well, actually, most of the Islamic extremists and their networks have been or in the process of being dismantled.

Jailing those who encourage subversion and terrorism such as Abu Hamza al-Mazri. Other radical Muslims such as Omar Bakri Mohammed, have fled the country.

While prior to Sept 11th we may have allowed even encouraged some groups because of the Cold war and they made great anti Communist re Soviet Occupation Afghanistan, things are changing now.

Hopefully they won't shift to a guerilla war there.

re :Hopefully they won't shift to a guerilla war there.

They have neither the resources, the support the terrain or the assets to wage a guerrilla war.

The best they can hope for is the odd riot and civil disturbance, but even that is not very likely.

In Britain there is a strong don't rock the boat attitude amongst many of the Muslim communities.

During the Cartoon frenzy, a number of young Muslims went to London with some placards with comments such as death to those who insult Islam, and remember 7/11 the London Bombing.

Within days they were disassociated by Islamic communities the men were arrested and charged , and were forced to apologies on Television .

While I am not discounting the Islamic threat, British intelligence and other assets are monitoring and dealing with them..

And remember we have over 50 years experience in these operations.

Experience gained fighting the IRA, INLA, UFF UVF and other terrorist groups, who were amongst the most professional and battle hardened to ever operate in the West.

In other words, "it could never happen here." I understand.

re : it could never happen here

LOL there is no such thing as it could never happen here.

What I am saying is at this moment in time they have neither the assets, the resources the experience soldiers.

It takes more than a willingness to die, you need trained fighters, you need support staff, you need a strong logistics base, you need safe houses, the list is endless. And with the Muslim population around 2.8% of the total population they don't have a Strong enough support base even if nearly all the Muslims wanted to wage such a war.

And as I said what is left of the extremists networks are being very closely monitored.

Do that in the US and you'll be accused of racial profiling.

re :Do that in the US and you'll be accused of racial profiling.

Yep but because of the war in North Ireland we are more used to do things behind the scenes.

"Strawman?" Hardly. That's exactly how the Serbs sold their war to the west: a fight against the spearhead of Islamic fundamentalism in Europe.

Ah, but the Western media sold that war as a one sided ordeal which was in of itself a strawman, blame the Serb bogyman. Yeah, you just have preferences for your own strawman.

Ask the Croatians if they really wanted to be governed under an Islamic based government, I'll save you the effort, the answer was and is still 'no', or are you just going to offload another strawman in this instance too?

The curse of the Clinton legacy will live on for years after he is dead...which might not be too long in coming from the looks of him these days.
