(Raleigh, NC) April 21, 2006-13th District Congressional Candidate Vernon Robinson will join the Secure Americas Borders Now petition drive hosted by Minutemen Civil Defense Corps at the office of Senator Elizabeth Dole in Raleigh at 6:00pm. The tour will stop at state offices of United States Senators to deliver the petition copy which is now in circulation. The petition communicates the message for a secure America on behalf of concerned citizens. Tony Dolz, a naturalized American citizen from Cuba, is leading the tour across the nation meeting with other Minutemen and supporters gathering petition signatures to deliver to Washington. On April 24, 2006 Robinson will present the signed petition from supporters of anti-illegal immigration to the staff personal of Senator Doles Raleigh office asking for a response.
Our county is under attack by 1 million illegal aliens crossing our borders annually Robinson stated. Securing the borders and making English the official language of the United States is the centerpiece of my campaign. Regrettably my opponent voted for open borders, voted for giving drivers licenses, in-state-tuition, free health care, and social security benefits to illegal aliens, and sponsored a legislation that would give marriage visas to 35,000 foreign homosexual lovers of American homosexuals.
Minutemen Civil Defense was established leading up to the American Revolution. Young men from New England localities were selected from the military to serve in the special unit forces to protect families and communities. Since they needed to be ready in a minutes notice this started the title Minutemen, which is known for supporters willing to fight for American freedom. Currently Minutemen have been honored by Americans who believe in homeland security. After September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the term Minutemen has been linked to citizens that want to secure American borders from unwanted intruders.
Vernon Robinson, a national leader for secure borders and making English the official language, has led other illegal immigration protests. Robinson hosted the Secure America Now Rally Tour Say No to Amnesty sponsored by Team America PAC in Charlotte in February 2005 featuring Former US Treasurer Bay Buchanan. On September 11, 2003, Robinson gave the keynote speech demanding that the Mexican Consulate stop issuing Martricula Consular Cards to illegal aliens in the United States.
If President Bush had to choose between sealing the borders or enabling Mexicans to illegally enter the country, would he offer them free housing or free healthcare?
